I just picked up a nice 06 EC300.
I have the old girl torn right down for a proper overhaul.
This is my first GG.
Came with an almost complete service manual. SO please bear with me, I'm still learning.
It seems to have an ignition map switch on the bar. When I traced the wires back they have just been hooked back into each other. SOOO, it's obviously not working as intended.
Where are they suppose to hook into?
Any wiring diagrams I have found don't even show the switch.
Also,
The lower fork legs (Marchozzi) have a black coating on them.
Is that stock?
They feel decent. New seals and oil but undersprung for me. I'm used to that.(6'3" 220 lbs)
I want to get them resprung but will they have to be recoated?
Am I better off with a complete front end from a newer GG?
Is that even an option?
Like I said before, this is my first GG so any info at all on the 06 model would be greatly appreciated.
