Haven't rode a '13 yet but have over 60 hrs on my '12 250. Also have rode many earlier versions; '11, '10, '07, '06 etc. The earlier versions are certainly more compact and steer quickly. However, the the 12 is so amazingly planted in all kinds of conditions & the suspension is so good out of the box, it's hard to believe. One buddy says it's like riding on carpet. Not having to spend piles of cash on a suspension revalve is worth a bunch IMO.
The bike is very confidence inspiring- I pretty much guarantee that most riders will be faster on it, or at least have more fun on it.
IMO, the 12-13's are really good bikes. However, all bikes are going to give at least a certain percent of riders something to complain about. There is no such thing as a perfect bike for all people. If there was, what would the factory charge for it?
