Is the 13 worth it?

Haven't rode a '13 yet but have over 60 hrs on my '12 250. Also have rode many earlier versions; '11, '10, '07, '06 etc. The earlier versions are certainly more compact and steer quickly. However, the the 12 is so amazingly planted in all kinds of conditions & the suspension is so good out of the box, it's hard to believe. One buddy says it's like riding on carpet. Not having to spend piles of cash on a suspension revalve is worth a bunch IMO.
The bike is very confidence inspiring- I pretty much guarantee that most riders will be faster on it, or at least have more fun on it.

IMO, the 12-13's are really good bikes. However, all bikes are going to give at least a certain percent of riders something to complain about. There is no such thing as a perfect bike for all people. If there was, what would the factory charge for it?

so from reading this thread is it safe to say that putting 48 CC zokes or doing the KYB SSS conversion on the front of a sound 2010 is going to be as good as getting a 2013?

I read it the opposite.. That the 12-13 chasis is a significant leap forward in most areas. From my perspective, as someone with a 2010 frame with the nice suspension bolted on, I couldn't imagine it getting much better, and for that reason alone I better not throw a leg over a newer one until I'm ready to move on! ;)
