Here is my 1981 Suzuki RM125X restoration finished! Lots of new parts! It looks sweet and sounds great! Oh and it is for sale, I need to sell it to fund some other projects. Next up is my '78 Kawasaki KX250A4!

Claude that is AWESOME!!!!!!!! I owned that bike when I was 14!!

I find it real funny that we both have owned a Yamaha Mini-Ednuro 60 and 1981 RM125. Did you ever own an XR75 or 1981 YZ80? LOL

I was a junior in H.S. when those (81's) came out and they were what everyone wanted at the time (at least where I lived). I lived in the country and 2 friends that lived close each bought one. They were going to be bigtime moto-x racers:D
Every time I see one of these it brings back fond memories even though I have never owned a Suzuki!
Nice resto!

Nice job guys!!

I've still have my 1980 PE175 that I bought new when I was in high school. I bought it for $1000 from a local Suzuki dealer that I worked for when I was in eleventh grade.

I sold it three years later when I was in college for $500 and bought it back from the same guy 10 years later for $50. For the last 17 years its been sitting in a shed out at my sisters farm. One of these days I hope to find the time to start it's restoration.

I even found another 80 PE 175 a couple years ago and paid $300 for it for a parts bike.

My biggest problem is finding replacement plastic as the PE had a unique headlight and an oversized tank and they seem to be hard to find.

I'd love to hear who your sources are for parts.

Looking good Claude! Nice to see you got it finished, feels good taking an old heap and making it look and run like new again.

Wes.

Awesome ! I remember the 'Full Floater', the first time I rode one, I had to look and see if the wheel was actually there. For it's time the suspension was awesome.
Great job. BTW how much?

Well eff I did not own an XR or a YZ 80.
Steve you should restore it! PE's could be trouble for plastic I got stuff from vintagesuzuki.com and fullfloater.com also some OEM stuff can be found from Suzuki.
I was asking $2500.00 and I think I sold it locally
Nice '79 stainless, I raced a '77 and '78 RM125 and have some parts still.
Good luck on the CanAm.

hey claude do you have the bike down at the bike show this weekend? you think there will be much for gassers there?

Nice bikes guys! I love old bikes, they look cool! I remember moving up from an XR 75 to an '81 KX 80. I was so stoked that it had that uni track suspension!

I'd love to have those dual shock bikes in my garage! That KX is stunning.
