Parts Source??

lol

Funny stuff.... I worked on Barnett for 2 yrs back in 2004 to do complete plate kits, which they did for a few years. After some horrible years in bike and parts sales, Barnett kinda gave up on it. I started campaigning in 2008 again and until there was enough bike sales (2010) it was on the backburner for them. We worked with Barnett hard to get it all done, and the basket is a nice one, only issue is it requires OEM rubber dampers and GasGas's vendor has screwed up the design so they dont work. GasGas is resolving the issue, but Barnett has "pulled them from the shelf" until it is resolved.

We just got the new "rekluse" basket in and that has its own dampers, so should work "SHOULD" as we haven't tested yet. Another aftmarket product and the auto clutch that the expensive place Gofasters has worked to get the customer for options! YEP, OEM is more money, sometimes better quality (fiber plates, being one of them, i have tried to go direct to the OEM fiber supplier every year to lower the costs, with no success), sometimes lower quality.

April 1st 2012 will be the start of a new MSRP list on OEM parts,,,guess what, OEM has gone up a little, but we are trying to offset by ordering more bulk, giving less margins on higher end parts so that everyone is happy with GG. The dealers will have a new microfiche system at their disposal with plastics including graphics, and plastics without graphics....plus all year bikes and models from 2001-2012. So please, go to your local dealer if possible, don't try and buy Honda, or Yamaha parts because you can save a few bucks..cuz in the end, you may just have to buy a YZ or CR if you can't support your GG dealer.

Oh and if anyone would like to buy the distribution and make a "ton of money" (insert sarcasm) like we are...always for sale! lol.

I spoke with Rekluse about their new basket last week. They mentioned that they designed it in such a way as to make the dampers last longer and to be more easily replaceable when needed.
Time will tell how it all works in the real world with real world riders.

If you really want to puke, price out ALL the plates for a late model Husaberg 4T. You will be into $400 CDN for a complete clutch pack.

lol, yea thats not good. hopefully this clutch issue is just an isolated one because i love my gasgas.

Well, we can all get ready for everything to go up to match the rising cost of crude.

I also just read that Alpinestar will be raising there prices for boots as of march 1st. I know.....off subject!

Barnett sent me some Honda dampers that I had to grind down to reduce the thickness. Everything else fit well and the Barnett basket has worked very well, shows no wear after a year and does not make any noise. Great product. I just moved it to my 2011. My local dealy got it from them. Took weeks to get but well worth the wait.
