Pinch bolt torque

Specified torque is too high in every manual I have seen. With regard to Huskys, the two my brother had were ridiculously overtorqued, as was just about every bolt on the bike. On his WR250, we needed a good lean on a 1/2" breaker bar to crack the main linkage rocker bolt loose.

LOL! Yep, I remember the linkage. One other thing I did with the forks was rotate (spin in the clamps) after every ride. They never seemed to wear evenly on the bushings.

I personally think a lot of people over tighten the crud out of just about everything. Prime example is the clevis on my 888. How the hell did someone crank down on a 15mm bolt head with enough gusto to crack that open? If you pay attention when you're doing something up you'll feel it snug in and resist once its done. Anything beyond this is asking for damage.
