I'm working on a purchase, this should be my next rig(or one like it) to haul the Gasser. What does everyone think?

HZJ75 series landcruiser...? Absolutely unbreakable adn awesome offroad, but don't expect to set any speed records and keep an eye on your battery - they chew them out pretty quck.

Great truck all round, pretty much a legend here in Australia:)

I wish they would sell those models in EU. Is that a V8 turbo diesel ?

This is how I'm doing it now. Much better fuel economy and faster! Which makes racing much more affordable as diesel is 1.45 GBP per litre over here

Thats about 12 USD per gallon!

I like that Pepperami. I've threatened to tow mine with my Cooper S. Problem being when I get there. Some places almost need 4 wheel drive to get around the parking lot.

Majority here are a straight 6 4.2l diesel, and the rest are 4.5l petrol. Bloody good utes, all the mines and farmers used them.
The new ones are 4.5l twin turbo V8 diesel, you could drive everywhere in 5th gear - oodles of torque

Holy bleep, bleep , bleep bleep, and bleep... 12.00 a gallon for diesel? I would be working o.t. Just to put fuel in my truck.

12USD a gallon? I think I'm getting ripped off here when I pay $3.50 a gallon. In Venezuela and Colombia diesel is about 25 cents a gallon!

Yep, those are straight six diesels. I haven't seen one of the V8s, but I've heard they are the business.:D

I had to use my 944 Turbo to tow to a race ones, the truck was supposed to be out of the shop friday but guess what happened? It did get some comments.

I towed with a Volvo S40 for 2 years. It was my wife's company car and the gas was free. Ha! My neighbor was a welder and we built a little light single rail trailer. If you ran BJEC or TSCEC in 05/06 you probably saw me.

They did sell alot of those in EU!! but not with a V8 Turbo diesel..

You can get a BJ75 With a 3.4L 4cyl. Diesel(3B), or a HJ75 with a 4.0L straight6 Diesel(4H).

I'm at the moment restoring a BJ42 (same as the FJ40 but with a 3B Diesel engine) for my next tow rig.
That old thing won't go fast but it'll go anywhere:D..

Right now I transport the bikes in my '97 VW 2.5TDI Transporter..
