RB Designs-must do/

Not yet. I hope to get my measurements this weekend and send the head and carb out. I'll definitely report back my results.

I sent my carb to him yesterday. I have already adjusted the squish to .040 it came stock at .075. Im hopeful his carb mods will bring it all together. It was running pretty good with the 36 mm carb but would flatten out on top end. I tried an older 38mm screw top Airstriker, but could not get it right. It ran hard on top but had a horrible blurp coming off the bottom. Sure was easy to make changes on though, i like the screw tops.

IS Ron going to bore your 36 out to a 38?

I emailed him about mine and he said he does that alot. I think I'm gonna get the head & carb done .

I leave that up to him, as im sure he is much more aware of what "best" is than I. Im not about to try and tell an acclaimed expert what should be done. I dont care if he just says a prayer for it as long as it comes back working well.

200 & 300

Sent Ron my 300 stuff and my friends 200 stuff .came back today. I messed up my shoulder so im still out for awhile but ill have my buddies bike together and a ride report.on that 200
he had some carb issues already so anything should be an improvement but i'm looking forward to seeing how much the 200 benefits I'm pretty familiar with it so i'll have an idea of how much improved it is.
Then hopefully in a week or two i'll tell you how mine is .I'm looking forward to that I'll be on a brand new topend & have Rons head / carb work . YEEHAW
Stoby

Hi Girard,

I'm on the fence about these mods for my 11 six days. Can you tell me what you were using for the JD kit (I have one installed for a YZ250) and how the new carb performs compared to that? Just always looking to improve things.

Jeff.
I'm pretty sure the Yamaha kit is the same as the Gas Gas'.
The JD kit had the jetting pretty close. Just did not have the low end snap.

My 2007 MC 250 has the RB carb mods, so I knew how well it worked.

The riding we do here in south TX has lot of whoops and sandy corners, so I needed more low end crispness from the carb. Basically needing to be able to roll the throttle on and leap out of the whoops and corners. I noticed I'm shifting a lot less now. Bike pulls a higher gear with no problem.

The combination head mod and carb mod really woke the bike up. Any running issues are corrected with the air screw adjustment.

This past weekend was 103F and very humid, I was getting a slight burble shifting from 2nd to 3rd. This could have been corrected with a slight turn of the air screw. I was having too much fun to stop and mess with it.
Ron (RB Designs) does include some extra pilot and main jets to really fine tune the bike.

As long as your movin' and air is flowin', and your not wrestling a 450F through bar width trees its fun.
