Rear wheel bearing help

I have a gas gas ec 250 2006 that I recently bought that needed new rear wheel bearings, I bought a kit from eBay that contained 3x wheel bearing and 2x seal.

Bearings that arrived:
6005
6004
6204

When it came to installing them I noticed a difference in one of the bearings, the bearings I removed from the bike are:
6005
6004
6004

As you can see I removed 2x 6004 but the new case comes with 1x 6204 and 1x 6004.

Can someone shine some light? Are the old bearings wrong? The 6204 bearing is thicker and slightly bigger than the 6004.

The bearing on the right side is the one that doesn't match.

I have the same problem and contacted Pivot Works about it. They said that's what the GasGas microfiche has listed. I told them it was wrong and to check here for the correct info. Didn't get too far with it, I would suggest more people should complain to the kit suppliers!

Wow that is sooo annoying! Looks like I will be returning them and looking for them somewhere else.

Thanks.

Just get them through a local industrial bearing supplier. You'll end up with some quality units at reasonable prices.

Bearings: 6004 x 2 and 6005 x 1
Seals: 32x47x7 and 25x42x7

Ive struck this sort of prob across a variety of equip (esp older) quite a few times.the golden rule with bearings is get the old part out and get the number off it first, then as jake said,go to a local bearing supplier.if possible take the old bearing in,if they dont have a listing on the no,they will measure it up and match it.if the number is different or changed (typical on older equip)write it down for ease next time.usually with bearings a local supplier will be half the cost too!

How do you get seals then? The local supplier. Every bearing kit I've gotten includes the seals?

Seal sizes listed above in my last post. Never had an issue getting them locally either. Sometimes they may not have them in the exact same width but you usually have room for an extra mm if needed anyway.

What they can't supply are the bushings for linkages etc.

I know AllBalls aren't synonymous with Japanese quality, but I received the proper bearings for my bike, and it was cheaper than the local bearing shop where each one costs 15+ dollars.

Just so I can avoid it, who is this bearing kit from? I'm actually looking to order more.

The Gas Gas microfiche for the rear wheel bearings are not correct. I would not use the part numbers from the microfiche to source the bearings. Cross reference the numbers from the old bearings and buy the bearings locally (Koyo or SKF are my recommendations), or buy the SKF bearing and seal kit, which include new spacers. The SKF kit is spendy, but very good quality, and if your spacers are showing wear, you are likely shortening the life of your bearings as they are letting dirt and debris past the seals.

Not a fan of the AllBalls bearings. I have personally not have good experiences with their longevity. Sometimes you get what you pay for....I think I sourced three Koyo bearings locally for less than $35.00 USD.

I wish I didn't bother with the local supplier now lol.

the eBay kit I bought was $20 and the local supplier charged me $51!

Pivot Works contacted me and said they will send me a 6004 bearing. They said the engineering dept. is looking into it and have found " some pretty large discrepancies in the GasGas microfiche." Shocking, but at least they are looking into it. It's always good when a company listens to their customers!:D

Hey Pete!

While you have the lines of communication open with them, would you mind enquiring if/when they'll be developing a linkage kit for the 12+ models. I can supply bushing dimensions for them as I have mine out at the moment.
