Rekluse EXP 2.0 Bearing Race Wear and Warranty

I talked to my dealer (AZ Moto City KTM/GasGas) about m Rekluse 2.0.

It seemed to be acting a little strangely, maybe somewhat slow to unpack as the idle comes down. Every once in a great while it would stall.

He told me to contact Rekluse. They said to take a photo of the bearing surfaces to see if there were gouges. There were. In the attached photo you can see a rectangular etch within the normal egg-shaped bearing race.

Rekluse (Charles) gave me the option of a free swap for a new 2.0 or for an upgrade to 3.0 for $125. I went with the upgrade.

I also decided to buy a Rekluse basket, but they were out of them as of last week. They scheduled a small manufacturing run of GG baskets.

**He says they should have a new batch of Gasser baskets done today.**

If you want one, now is a good time to give them a call.

Same thing happened to me. Prefer the 3.0 ring design much better. added Rekluse basket as well. No squeal, no slip, engages perfect. It has been my experience that Rekluse knows exactly what customer service is.

I have the basket and have decided to go with the full Honda CRF450 fibers & steels conversion.

As promised, the Rekluse basket is a work of art.

Charlie at Rekluse up-sold me on the Honda conversion.

I put everything together last night -- Rekluse 3.0, Honda fibers & Honda (Rekluse) Steels.

There is a large gap that I cant account for. I wonder if I missed a washer or something? :) Maybe back out the clutch-slave adjuster. The Rekluse fiber/steel stack is thinner. It measures 29.50mm, while my old GG stack with 75 hours measures 31.23 (with typically worn fibers).

I sent four pics into Rekluse last night. I'll call them today.

Does anyone have an exploded view or any oddities related to the GG/Rekluse install?

Maybe you missed something? Suzuki washer behind the basket is used to allow the thicker Honda plates, normally it's too tight if anything 8 clutch discs?

Waiting for Mike to call me back (in a sales meeting).

How many shaft-diameter washer/spacers are there? I don't have any left on my bench.

I have one washer between the hub and the basket. I have no spacer between the basket and the motor. Should one be there ?

I spoke with Mike (Rekluse Guru Charles is out riding).

Mike said everything looks good. My old GG adjustable slave setting required me to crank it almost all the way in. The new set up will allow me to back it off. So he suggested I start with a clean slate on the adjustable slave (back it all the way out, crank it X-turns plus X-ticks and look for the proper free play).

So, that's what I'll do.

I started with the 1 turn + 5 clicks (past initial taughtness). It operated fine, but the clutch-lever test (free play) wouldn't budge. I think I backed it off three clicks.

Weird. All my Honda/Rekluse steels are the same (@ 1.05 mm vs 1.55 mm for the GG/Rekluse steels).

Rekluse gave me a full pack of 8 fibers. One is left unused.

Works fine.
