S3 Racing Cylinder Kit and Interchangeable Head

I think that's non corrected cr ( uk style, advertised bore x stroke volume vs pippette taken volume at tdc to just below first thread at bottom of plug hole), not that weird jap corrected on that takes about a year to understand. That's what everyone does over here to blueprint the motors specs.

That's what you did jakobi?

Hit the nail on the head Simmo. I didn't do it personally. Passing info from when Dmcca did Cols EC300. I will be doing this when I pull my 300 down next and then sending my head to Dave for some work.

Ps, I just bolted on the black head on my s3, never checked the squish as Scotty said it'll be ok and use 95, works perfect.

Scottys told me I'd end up with around 1.4mm squish with the Black insert and port timing flush. I measured in at 1.8mm once complete. It all depends on how much you had before you started. I had a massive 2.6mm.

The bike sure runs cleaner and crisper since the changes, but there's still more room for improvement yet! Plan to bring it down to 1.3 which will include cc'ing the bowl again to maintain CR atound 12.5 - 13:1

Some.of these squish measurements are HUGE!
Gains can be made by correcting the squish band on all heads, S3, stock, etc.
Better burn, better mileage, etc.

Absolutely. What is the purpose of an S3 head if its squish is way off? Just buy an extra stocker and have it optimized for your engine.

Pretty colours.. Slim design.. Increased water jackets..

But as you said, its far from the ideal solution. I bought my first one as a bling part not having the knowledge I do now. I will be having it machined for the 300.

I had to buy a 250 head anyway, so I just got another one, but it will also be getting set up the same way a stock one would be.

A stock squish of 2.6mm like my bike had was epicly huge! Maybe the record!
