Seal Savers on coated forks?

I've used these on my bikes with good results (seal life) but my gut tells me they may trap grit and scratch off the Ti coating on the '07 Zokes. Any experiences, good or bad?

Glenn,
I have used them on my KTM and now my GG. I always wash them really good inside and out after each ride. I like them for the insurance factor if you know what I mean.

They have taken the coating off of my GG forks but when Les rebuilt them for me he said it was no really big deal.

I guess the question is how often do you want to replace the seals on your bike or will it really bother you if the fork coating get's worn off.

Hope this helps.

In my limited experience with Marzocchi forks (two sets) seal life is much better than WP products so I'd pass on the seal savers.

I have wore the coating off both sets of Marzocchi forks I've owned without seal savers installed. So either way, its probably gonna happen over time. Les has always told me the same thing ... its not a big deal to loose the trick looking coating , and a very normal occurrence. I must say my seals do usually go a whole season of wet gritty Washington state abuse without seal savers though, so I choose to not run them.
