Seat options

It is 250 each for custom seats.

Cool. Last year when I asked about my wife's DR200 they told me I could only buy what they currently make. I can't remember who I talked to, but I know it wasn't the same guy I talked to when I got a seat for my WR250R.

Sound butt-Heaven. Do you have any pictures by any chance ?

Brilliant ;)

Apart from if you still have the stock Euro 2x4 like me.........

Sorry seven. Didnt see your question. Excuse the crap shrouds. Use them for mud races.

So... what options are there for '07 owners?

I have the '07 EC450 FSR....

I love everything about this bike except for the seat....

I sleep on a firm mattress. I ride a competition cyclocross bike (bicycle), sometimes with out bike shorts.... and I have to say I think this bike is less comfortable than that.

I just chalk it up to being a Gas Gas.... would probably be more comfy wiht a trials "seat"

it does the job.. im actually delighted with the results..I know it doesn't look great but it makes a real difference in riding done my first h&h with it today and it made the world of differance standing&seated.. the p&p for the correct foam was costing over double the price of the foam lol

Yeah, Guts has the parts just not assembled. I have gotten several seats from them. They are good stuff. You can pretty much customize the look and feel of your seat which is a big plus.

Did they cut out the foam for the seat bolt? When I bought mine it was not cut and had to do so myself. Would be nice if the formed the foam like the stock seat around the hole.

I mostly sit, which started when I tore my left hamstring in a Missouri enduro back in 2000. When I hit a bump, I let the bump raise my butt and then just straighten my legs underneath it.
I'm 6' tall and weigh 210#. (But, I think "tall". :^)

I use the Guts Racing tall/medium density foam. The medium density foam keeps me from sinking down into the seat foam, but the tall foam makes the seat feel soft. I've been running this combination ever since I first got Guts to make the GasGas foam and covers back in 2001. I sent them a stock seat foam for the two stroke and another for the four stroke (which accommodated the battery in the air box), and told them I wanted replacement foams in the stock profile and another taller seat foam which would eliminate any dip and make a "straight line from the rear fender to the tank".
It usually takes at least three years of me riding sitting down before the foam "sacks" and loses it's shape. Then, it usually develops a dent up at the tank and another right in front of the rear fender.

Having said all that, I sort of like that 10" wide GasGas seat by Fisher. But, until I get ready to drop all that money on a Fisher, I'll keep using what I've got and like, and plenty of Anti-MonkeyButt Powder. That stuff is the shitz.

Good Riding to All Ya'll!
Jim

Here is a photo of my bike with the tall seat.
Since the photo was taken, I have followed Fred's advice and moved the Tugger Strap to the rear of the subframe. It works much better back there.
