Senecal Wins The "hoot Owl"

Well Billy was it then. He talked and helped everybody out that he could. As I have said many times before both Jim & Billy are great guys.

I will hate to see Billy riding orange next year but he had something good fall into his lap and Gas Gas just does not do much for the off road racing side of their business. Nobody's fault but their own.

Like gasgasman said they have had some of the "Top" riders racing their bikes and most of them have stated that they would gladly ride the gassers but hteir is just no rider support.

Me I will continue to ride my stead!:D

Well I brought the duct tape today, but I think he who's named shall not be mentioned was tipped off because he had two VERY large men standing near him and the police handed me a restaining order. After the race I think he's a little SCARED of me because he mentioned something in his garage for me its just collecting dust and its a 4hunny. I dont think I will go for it I dont want to pass on my riding secrets to him or miss out on that 10% discount

Biting my tongue

Ok everyone....your right. Billy is a great guy and a very good "A" class rider, a wonderful guy that did his part, won us a "200 A" National Title and we thank him for that. Other than our "circle" (riders.org, GoFasters site, and a few talk forums) will his title get us exposure on the National Level? Exposure about GasGas and its reliability and handling? Will you see his comments or results on Cyclenews in bold lettering or pictures?

Can GasGas at this time offer those kind of deals to two Netra rider's at a cost of (this is not stretched) $12,000 in depreciation, parts, and support for 2 riders? NO! There are other regions and districts crying for at least one rider.

Do some math people....

2008 national enduro expenses. $13,000 (this includes 24 hour race)
2008 Rider support in free bikes, parts, clothing $15,000
2008 EPA testing, approval for 4-stroke legalization $15,000
2008 dealer show $4000
2008 Indy display $9500
2008 many more expenses to mention...

Bikes sold? Not 18,000 like KTM

I guess we should give all "A" class riders about $10,000 in support and in about 2 years say, sorry we're broke? Then GasGas will have to start all over? Oh wait, thats happened 3 times since 2001 already? Hmmmmm. Maybe we need to slow down and start small?

Look for positive announcements in the next month...then maybe we can appreciate it all a little more.

Good luck Billy! We're proud of you and wish you success, in the same time we're going to be trying to kick your ass! Ha!

Congrats to Curt Comer as well in the Super Senior Class! Overall Champion.

Congrats to Jake Fiola, 3rd place in "open A"

Congrats to Jim Senecal in the Netra series despite some problems had a great year!

Congrats to Chance Baker, rode the GasGas well in the Virginia series

Congrats to Lars Valin on another successful ISDE!

Congrats to John Maier to switching onto a GasGas and becoming a dealer as well.

Hey, it looks like we do have an "offroad effort" after all.

Well the way I see it..... In order to make money you have to spend money. I have to do this on a daily basis with my company. If nobody is pushing to sell our products then nobody would ever buy them correct?

On top of that....consumers tend to buy what famous racers are riding. I have been guilty of that myself.

Not pointing you out Mark! You guys have done a good job in supporting the brand but that is Gofasters pocket book for the most part.

I will continue to ride my euro methane machine to hell & back with a big TEXAS smile on my face.:D

when I bought my bike in 2006,I was presented with the option of a parts allowance or contingency money,I took the contingency money, but hurt my knee in the first race and my season was over,No one is looking for a handout, especially this "A" rider,I dont have the work ethic, training or time to devote the responsibility placed to me by the manufacturer or dealer, yeah I could train and ride more and get much faster, but I like riding for fun and when it becomes work,I find you stress out over everything,I am leading the A-open class and may finish in first this season,I may not,but I will stick with gassers till they stop making them,I just have a passion for the bikes,BTW BrianVT ending his day at gas and switched rear wheels with me as mine was flat,he wanted me to finish the event! thanks again brian, heres a shot of me picking up Brians shroud at another event this year, see gasgas riders do take care of thier own!!
