Shifts are MUCH crisper and more positive than with the factory unit. I HIGHLY recommend this shifter, it's a major improvement.

Why do you think that is? does the factory unit flex significantly? Or was the tip just worn?

Anyone got a link that works for that european part - does that shift smoother/firmer?

I received mine last night. WOW that was fast. I ordered it Friday and got Monday. This thing is stout and longer than the stock 2004 shifter. I can't wait to put it on.

It's probably perception as much as anything plus the tip doesn't have as much play. Since it's a little longer the shift tip is in a better spot which probably also contributes to the feel.

What exactly is the offset?
