1 hr on the 2017 bike, with battery in check, no starter function during ride. Just clicking sound under seat.
Checked all connections, first thought was the started being shorted out.
luckily it wasnt simple to remove, so I began checking ground connections and it seemed bad, no continuity from battery neg. to starter case.
Unscrewed ground wire from electric side engine case and bolted it directly to starter motor screw.
Started instantly.
When I thought problem was solved, tried starter again, ignition key on, no lights, no click from starter relay.
reinstalled ground wire to original location, all back to normal.
Lights OK, starter OK.
Ground wire must've had bad contact to the case, it just needed good rebolting.
