Symtec heated grips

Hi

I was thinking of buying some of the Symtec heated grips. I have a 02 EC 300. I was just wandering if the stator will suplly enough power to run them aswell as the headlight on low beam.

Or is it best to fit a switch go go between either heated grips or headlight? It would be nice to have both..

Also am i right in thinking that running too much will just mean they wont run properly and wont damage the stator?

Just trying to get prepped for the winter

I know this has been asked before but i havnt found a difinitive answer..

Cheers!

I set mine up so they are powered off of the wire that goes to the little light, this way I am not forced to have the big light on while running the grips/more juice to the grips. 2010 300

My wife has a KTM 200 with a relatively small stator, I wired hers so she can turn off the headlight entirely and run the heaters, again sending as much juice to the grips as possible...... although they seem to work just fine with her headlight on also.

We both have Sicass Lighting Kits so our wiring is a little different but you get the idea.

Run them on my 02 ec, powered by the lights but on a separate switch, no problems with dimming and they keep your hands nice and toasty too!

While I have no real interest in grip heaters, I am curious...Do they power up by AC or DC, or either one? I've had someone ask me a while back. I didn't know the answer, and didn't hear back on the matter.
