Testing a '14 XC300

Has Gas Gas scrapped that stock jetting yet.. or has someone else taken the time to dial it in! Sounds clean as a whistle.. and a whistle being blown! Braaap Braaap

I will just say that Nate requires an oil with a higher flash point than me and leave it at that. ;-)

Man he was making that thing rip!

Rod/Nate - please keep us posted here on results throughout the season.

Holy carp :eek::eek:

Dude...that 6 minutes of video increase my BP by 100 points...lol.

Amazing riding through the woods, I'd be terrified to try and hold that pace with so many immovable objects. Probably why I'm paid to sit behind a desk and then go off all weekend warrior like on my 200 ;)

It's really cool to see the MX track prowess of the 300 followed by a serious woods rip. Nice log hop on the trail, thought you were going to collect that poor 4T that had to go around.

Never really had the chance to test the low-end lug though, huh...LOL.

Keep the videos coming - need stuff like that to make it through the day

With the help of Mark Berg at GoFasters and Matt Stavish at Checkpoint Off-Road I was able to test ride a GasGas last Thursday and Friday and race it the Concho National Enduro on Sunday. I liked the bike and it looks like a deal is going to come together soon for me to race the bike.

As I watched the video clip a few things stand out.........

That 300 is tuned really well! Crisp!

The pilot looked to be having fun! And was flowing with the bike.

The suspension took those big table tops with ease.

The Q muffler is quite.....even with the rider ringing out the 3honey!

The riders aggressive style screams 2 stroke!

+ 3 on no dubbed over music! The sound of that guys 300 is Grammy material.

If I'm not mistaken Matt Stavish used to ride GG's?

It should be no surprise that Mark knows how to set up a GG, I think he had a hand in setting up the WEC bikes for Perry Sound rounds a few years back!

Thanks for sharing and good luck on the Gas'er!

Bitch video.
probably gonna take a beating here.

But did anybody else think that 300 actually looks pretty miserable on that track.
Watch it again.Look at how hard he has to work to get that bike through the corners. How long it takes to get the bike shut down and settled into the corner, power through then back on the gas.Keep in mind this track is a fluffy multi line sweetheart.Just about the best scenario you could ask for with the 300.

Rider is outstanding, track conditions look perfect.Bike isn't happy.

Actually I thought just the opposite. I was really surprised at how good the bike looked on the track considering its forte is nasty rocks and logs.
