However, when you're spending that kind of money, being picky on where you spend your money can save thousands, so I look at every option. When I ran the national series back in 1997, I spent $14000 just running around the country, paying for gas, tires, vehicle tires. I kept a running tally of what I was spending. If I hadn't had really helpful sponsors, the bill would have been much higher.
