What did you do to your Gas Gas today?

I've been off the Gasgas since Easter, other responsibilities have taken priority. Among them, a two week trip with a Norwegian team to the first two WESS rounds as a truck driver and mechanic.
However, yesterday was our first club race for this year, so I just had to find time to do it. Was afraid that lack of training would stop me early in the race, but luckily I managed to keep my (slowish) pace through the one hour race. We were 13 participants in the adults race, I ended up in tenth place which is about where I usually end up. Yesterday's winner was Anders Becker Johansen, the same guy that I drove the truck and did spannerwork for in Lagares Extreme and Trefle Lozerien (WESS 1 and 2). So our club has a wide rance of skill levels. The winner did 17 laps, I did 9 in the same time...

The winner.

Yours truly. Quite a difference in style. And age.

It is all about getting out riding and having fun! Looks like that guy on the Beta was afraid to get dirty ;-)

Those trails look glorious!! Exactly like my favourite stuff here in Canada!

Nice one Anders!

Sure beats sitting in front of the TV watching football or even watching other people racing! :)

All the best, Dave.

Yeah, it sure beats football (which I never watch). Racing myself is clearly one notch above watching others race on TV. But working in the paddocs of a top level race like the Wess races is also great fun. But in another way than racing myself.

Brought mine home from the dealer today, hopefully many pleasurable riding hours ahead

On another note...the brake pedal pad on these suckers is tiny, is there an aftermarket one that's bigger?

Congrats on your new bike! I'm sure you will have lots of fun with it.

Great photos, Anders. Thanks for posting and congrats on finishing the race.
Looks like a gnarly course.

It's been a couple months or three since I've had my 200 out. Your post made me feel like I need to do something about that.

240 hrs on the GP now,new starter brushes from Honda crf450x filed to the correct dimensions and soldered in.
Starts like a champ again!
Hope to see you at wildwood rodent, that bike will eat it up!

Looks great rodent, have fun! :)

I hope to Dave :)

First job I done on it, turned down the side stand thingymajig and zinc'd it and locktited the sucker back in. The "auto return" of the stand ain't ever gonna work for me, surer than shit's brown I'll tilt it one day and the fucker would fall over.

As Doc said, neat job.
But I can ensure you: The sucker will fall over, "auto return" side stand or not. At least my bike does. Almost every day I am out riding, it falls over. And I fall with it.
:p

RB, you need to do something about it, that's for sure. Riding the 200 imakes me happy.

We are very lucky, having several very good photographers in our club. This time, a father and son.
The rest of their photos are here:

The son (photographer) is actually also a 85cc rider, #24.
The father is also visible in some of his photos, like the one of the winner jumping his Beta.

Thanks for the link. That's a lot of work taking all those great action shots and then taking the time to post them.

I've not been a total slacker regarding my riding. I've had my new to me FE 250 Husky 4 st out for a couple of dual sport rides. My XC 200 is strictly for off roading where as the FE 250 is licensed for the road.

Painted something to haul it on :)

I bought a solid trailer off Ebay a couple of weeks ago for a good price, I picked it up from the blasters this week and my son and I put some Charcoal Hammertone to it this morning and will do another coat tomorrow......it came out very nice

My brother and I have had a Bagillion motorcycles over the the last 40+ years.....we should have had a trailer a loooooong time ago.

Threw a new Wossner piston in my 2018 after 60 hours. No surprises in there just the usual built like a tractor gassy motor. Straightened out all the bent bits and went out for a little ride to bed it in. Such an awesome motorbike! My front tubliss is leaking and I have had about enough of it so I will either try a mousse or go back to HD tubes. Never had an issue in over 20,000ks on the rear tubliss. Stuffed if I know or care anymore why the front leaks. Might try a golden tyre fatty before I toss the tubliss.
