What do we all do for employment

I'm just beginning really, although I've had my 01 300ec for 3 years or so. I've done a day at tong, a sand event near cleethorpes (enduroland), and some mx tracks. There are a few trf guys in my village and I will tag along with them as soon as I get engine back from tuner.

I've heard of viking way in lincolnshire but not sure how much of it is legal now. What about you?

There is hardly any legal trails in our area , i go out now and again with the local guys , but more often do an event or ride wales or the peaks .
Do the trf guys ride yorkshire?

Check the username; I need Cruiser - John deere field service tech for one of the largest deere dealers in the country. - we run John Deeres:

We also have a Berry Processing Plant that freezes about 15 million pounds of fruit every summer, and a Pie Company. Plenty going on over there with Thanksgiving coming up!

What an amazing group of guys here with such interesting jobs!

Jeff

P.S. Here's a picture of our Corn Maze from a couple of years ago...

Nice one , i jumped out of the side door one a c130 quite a few times :D , even got chance to sit up front when we were doing tlz training at fort polk in 2005.

I could do with some nice cabinets making for my living room , i think the shipping would be a bit costly though:D

Railway Boilermaker(Welder/Fabricator) with CP Rail for over 31 years. Retired this past July and now working at a Yamaha/KTM/Polaris/Victory shop as a service writer and whatever else they want me to do. I also restore vintage MX bikes in my spare time.

I work in a cardboard box factory I have a broad skill mix, so I basically cover the other guys for their holidays (vacations) and whilst they progress their careers! :( but it pays for racing and the racing takes my mind off of the tedium.

My background is Chemical Engineering Technology, and I work in a Kraft Pulp Mill as a Chlorine Dioxode Generation plant/Bleach plant operator. I rotate weekly between field operator and DCS (touch-screen panel) operator.

With the vast & diverse wealth of knowledge within this thread...We should be able to bring the GasGas brand to a level of performance unheard of, in the enduro motorcycle market. Or...start our own:D

Someone posted earlier that poeple thought it was strange that an IT type rode dirt bikes. Well there are a few on here and I'm one of them.

I started out as an aircraft engineer and then moved into flight simulator maintenance. I now manage a small team of simulator speacialists that get all the problems that the engineers can't fix. Both software and hardware.

Also teach 16 year olds how to ride bikes in my limited spare time.

Sr. Predictive Maintenance Technician in the power generation industry. Gas, Steam and Hydro previously in the Chemical Industry. Don't miss the chemical industry at all! In case you don't know what a PdM Tech does (no one ever does) it consists of one or more of these; Infrared Thermography, Vibration Analysis, Ultrasonic Thickness, Dye Penetrant and Mag Particle Testing. Also some Acoustic Emission, Laser Alignment and getting into Oil Analysis. Usually when I tell people all of that they're even more confused. haha

Would like to work at a boutique motorcycle company (Spain, France or Italy would do) doing quality control. :D

Self "employed" I try to make a living building and selling loudspeakers and a very special pre amp. "High End", not something you can just go out and buy. 2 channel only. Both are easy to find on the web. Been surviving at it 13 years now. Before that....custom film lab processor, 16mm film lab manager, mechanic, TV repairman, irrigation installer, C-Band Satellite installer, Dish and Direct installer, pro sound installer/repair guy........not to mention the jobs before I was 18.

Audio and bikes have been my life, the other jobs just funded them.

We have quite a diverse group here!

Great Thread

I work for the School District. Maintaining anything from Drinking Fountains to Fire Suppression Systems. There are over 60 buildings in our district.
Although that number seems to be dwindling as there are a lot fewer kids these days. I winterized 3 schools the years, most likely never to reopen.

Mechanical engineer by training and much of my career. Life have taken me to an executive position in innovation in pharmacy benefit managment. Fundamenatally this is the managment of the drugs many of us use daily. The company I work for has 100 million members in the United States but many do not know we exist. To many of you that are customers I thank you. The funny thing is dirt bikes have been the constant in my life. Big part of me being a mechanical engineer but also racing teaches you to continuously strive to be the best and keep improving. When I drive to Colorado every year I see the offer for free land in Kansas. I think I want some of the land I see the oil wells on!
