Hi there. I'm fixing up a mc250, or so i thourght, looking at a 2003 manual i seems that the engine oil filler bolt would indicate it is a 125, how do i find out what and from when the gasser is? Is there anywere i can cross reference the vin/engine number and find out.

There are a ton of clues on the bike like part number on pipe, vin #, engine is a totally different casting than the 200-250-300 casting.

Sorry there is ec25 stamped om the engine i just read that on the 125 the engine oil fillet hole i just above the front sprocket, and it is on mine. The gear lever is very tight in movement, it slots i gear but nearly af smooth as my road bike suzuki Sv1000, is it a open and se what i bent or just me beeing anti dirt bike. Thanks Elvis, could only find a manual for a 2003, but it seems that besides the plastic that they are more or les identical. Any body know about the tight gear shift?

The gasgas gear box is tight and shifts very smooth.

Most parts will be the same from 2000-2005 on the 200,250 and 300.

Thanks guy's, just ordered some bits and pieces, again, realy looking forward to trying i out. Realy begining to look it self again with most of the ugly black spray paint gone

Since you got her tore down that much you are going to take the swingarm and linkage apart to clean and re-grease?
