The master link clip is extremely worn, seems the nature of the chain guide at the rear from reading the posts here. Anyway, I would like to get a new one and keep this as a spare for a bit, I will replace the front sprocket and clip and get one more life cycle out of the combo. At which point I will likely, from reading here, get a TMD guide and go with a endless chain setup since even readers here with TMD guides are wearing these links and the much praised LTR setup has gone by the wayside.
I will add the rear chain guide certainly does its job, but wow, what a flimsy creature it is, not confidence inspiring in the least, doubt it will ever break as it is so wiggly, but not much substance to it.
oops, obviously the factory chain is a 520 oring, all I can make out on the links is japan and the 520, I can see it is an oring design, I doubt OE would be an xring or anything fancier.
