What's your weather like right now?

Cold ... Very Cold!

All temps in celsius. -25C this morning with winds out of the north at 35km/hr, makes it feel like -40C.

Sometimes I wonder why my great, great, great grandfather got on the boat headed to Canada instead of one going to Australia or New Zealand. I don't think he knew what winter was like here.

Today:

Forecast:

Wow we've sold gear into Canada & has to be tested down to -30 or so which was incomprehensible.

Had roadracing here yesterday. Drizzle & I even put a woolly hat on in the morning. Several weeks of fantastic weather & it chooses Sunday. Got better & we were in the dry the last 1/2 of the day fortunately.

We have long term plans to come road-ride there when the kids are old enough to leave home (if ever), but we'll do summer I think.

first "real" snow on Mon pm into Tues

12* F and breezy here in mid Atlantic (near Budds Creek MX)
Forcast to get 5"-9" snow Mon pm into Tues, then another inch or 2 on Wed.
it'll be damb nice to see April get here with warmer/dryer weather , imho :o

I am in the Mid-West U.S. Not Antarctica. This weather has been crazy! We have a foot of snow on the ground with more coming this weekend. It really doesnt look like there is an end in sight.

Our neighbors in Prince Edward Island have snow banks on some rural roads that actually measure 16 feet high. and the roads in those areas are only plowed out to one lane.

You can have some of ours. South East Queensland is supposed to get more than 300mm in the next day or so

And more to the point, South East Queensland can't handle rain for shit! Stay safe down there fellas!

The east coast gets loads of snow. Here the snowfall is not bad due to the moderating effects of the great lakes. The days in a row of deep cold and windchill is a struggle. Community help workers do their best to urge homeless people into shelters. Every cold winter several homeless people are found dead (frozen solid). Some folks drop dead from heart attacks while shovelling snow. Just yesterday a small child wandered out of his home in the middle of night. He didn't survive.

Thats a shame. We have had the same weather as the northern states this year and its been tough. It was -12F with a -30F windchill this morning. Was the first time it has been this cold in 50 years!

Here is what a lot of Atlantic Canadians had to deal with after 2 - 3 feet of snow fell with the last storm, combined with high winds.

'Luckily' we only got about a foot, but then it was followed by 3 inches of rain and then a flash freeze.

For you guys down south that have never had the pleasure of shoveling wet snow, go out side and try and throw a sand bag with a shovel. Renders the snow blower useless.

I'm in the heart of my snowmobiling season still, it's been a little dry so far. Usually by the start of May I can start riding my bike, and sneak off on the sled a few more times... that is a great time of year haha.
