Which year exhaust is best?

I'm looking to get a new front pipe for my gasser, can anyone tell me which one is the best?

If you look at this link;

http://www.motocrosscenter.com/ecommerce/product_info.php?cPath=667_674_841&products_id=3134

it says you can fit it to the earlier models with a bracket, Inox steel is a very low corrosion and hard steel, but how well does the pipe itself perform?

^^^^ What is the pipe coming off the exhaust?

The above link lists all the ehausts available. I'm after good all round power, my current pipe performs well but has a dent, and I'd rather have a spare to play with before I try removing it, that and the EURO is weak as hell atm, worth investing...

Couldn't wait I'm afraid. The weak euro has given me the stainless exhaust, silent block and a free T-shirt for 160gbp. Nice! Buying a DEP nickel plated, made in UK is 210gbp plus postage

Has anyone fitted a later model exhaust to a newer bike? I hope they're not lying!

Like! :)

The shape of the pipe hasn't changed. It's the mounting tabs that move. You may have to make some small little brackets but it should work

Awesome, the website says I just need the bracket so I ordered that.

Wondering if perhaps I should temper the pipe back in the ovens at work. Guessing they aren't stress relieved after welding?

Yep. Even the part #s are the same per Gas Gas for the stock FMF but the pipes are slightly different. Had to do some easy tab fab for my '11 pipe to fit on my '08. ....which I promptly dented the hell out of.

Well you held out 1&1/2 hrs. (minus shopping time) That's a good effort in anyone's eyes.

Who's a pretty girl then?

Just got to wait for my 3 month old cdi to be repaired... Sigh...

Have you run the FMF Gnarly? I ask because I'm curious how the real GG pipe compares. I like more of a traditional powerband and was wondering if the GG pipe delivers something closer to that.

I don't think the US sold bikes have the luxury of having the original head pipe.

I had a Gnarly and a stock pipe for my 05 and there was little to no difference in performance. The GasGas pipe actually held up better too.

I have run the Gnarly back to back with the stock pipe, prefer the stock pipe with a straight through silencer (Leo Vince)
I now have the HOP pipe and silencer combo and like this set up the best.

What jetting do you use with the HoHP setup?

Pretty sure I have an NEDJ 175 main and a 45 pilot. Signs off up top but I ride mainly rocky tight single track which I think this works pretty well. I tried the #8 slide and it leaned things out to much for my liking. Just checked the plug the other day and looked good.

If you have the cash pairing the HoH pipe silencer with the Lectron carb is the bees knees. Feels like it's injected now, the bike never signs off just keeps right on revving.

What is the HoHP pipe? Couldn't find anything.

House of Horsepower. It is a pipe and silencer that are custom made by Richard Wilson. He has a package with Pipe, silencer, handmade carbon pipe guard, carb slide and needle. Or you can opt for the Lectron carb. I opted for the Lectron carb and am very pleased with it. These mods make your bike something to be delt with!

I've thought of doing the Lectron but unsure what this bikes destiny is going to be at this point. If I decide to keep it another year I may go ahead and put the Lectron on.
