Wtf???

Clay, let me say it would be a lot worse without your help and support. Thanks.

When will we possibly see 2stroke Shercos?

Let's see, positives...

Nobody makes a prettier bike than GG. The US importer is on the ball, a complete turnaround from the disaster of 2002-2006 when the factory thought they could do the US importer role themselves. New investors bring new cash, and when cash is strategically deployed, it can work wonders.

Remember GG branded Chinese four wheelers? Ugh. Things are on the right track. I just don't have any dealer nearby, and for me, that's important, and the main reason I bought a fighting fish bike.

Give me a history lesson here. What had happened when the factory did the importing back in 02-06? Which four wheelers are the China ones?
Thanks

for all the gasgas bums. I mean bummed out gasser riders

ford, chevy, dodge. Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu. Butter, margarine, cream cheese. KTM, Sherco, Beta, GasGas. Pick your poison. They all have issues, and they all can put a smile on your face. All I know is the gasser is the *hands down* funnest bike I have ever ridden. Went out for a two minute test ride a couple weeks ago, and even with a leaking and shot rear shock I couldn't put it away. I kept pulling up to the garage, and thinking "I wanna ride it some more!!!" 30 minutes later it was time to pull the shock and send it to Les to work his magic.

I know this bike pretty well, and there's a lot to be said for that. I know it's weaknesses and strengths, and I can fix it easily if it breaks because I already know it front to rear. There is a lot to be said for that. Changing brands is a pain in the butt, new tools, new manual, new torque specs, new issues that you had no idea they had. My buddy bought a KTM thinking it was going to solve all his problems. Now he literally hates it and it sits in his garage. Going on Craigs soon. And I was thinking of a Sherco, but I'm gonna stick here. VIVA GASGAS :D

I counldn't agree more. But strange how some guys spew the Beta brand drink mix on here then get mad when we don't respond well? Weird, seeing how this is a GasGas forum. Who woulda thunk?

Butter, hands down everytime. :p And my Nissan pathfinder, 214000 miles. Just replaced the front struts today and she is still going strong. I apologize for the two guys I know that work for Ford, don't want to hear that....

When will we possibly see 2stroke Shercos?

I am told that I will get a pre production model in June/July and production bikes here in September.

I don't see a problem discussing Betas, Shercos, or anything here in comparison to the GGs. First of all its a new and interesting bike, so people are interested in it if nothing else than a gauge against what they ride now. It also interesting because of the initial success, and why the business model seems to work well here. I appreciate sound engineering and quality no matter where it comes from. Why be a hater? GG now has more serious competition, at a time when they are clearly having quality and design issues. It's just the way it is now and there is no denying it.

As much as I love GGs, I don't get them for free, and if a company with a superior product comes along, proves itself, it will get my get my business. I think that's just basic common sense. Companies that are constantly bailed out by govt banks despite failed practices have no accountability and never improve. If GG were to have had to answer to private investors years ago I think things might be different today.

This site is hands down the most positive site im currently frequenting. Sure some people (myself included) have expressed concern about issues they are experiencing, but are we to ignore them and act as all is hunky dory? What results would come of that? You should see thumpertalk if you want negativity! At least most people here are willing to share their knowledge that has been acquired over 30, 40, or even many more years of personal experience. You dont get that everywhere.

Hated my 2012 ec300. Sold it. Bought an 07 ec200. Problem solved.

Only 21,000 more and you'll equal the Mighty Ranger ;)

Most of us have our big-boy pants on here so discussing problems shouldn't be an issue - nor should talking about real-life experience with non-Spanish brands.

That being said, let me go on record as saying the GasGas 300 is the sweetest off-road motor I've ever experienced ...

I'm a Toyota guy personally. First Tundra went 238k with no big issues. Wife's Pathfinder on the other hand has always been a money pit.

I respect Ford for not taking bailout $$, and the F150 was my 2nd choice.
