So tonight i'm going to open up the carb to check out what jets are in there so I can start to make some changes.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend some threads or advice on accessing the jets or any other tips? I was hoping to just rotate the carb in place but the throttle cable looks like it might be a hindrance.

Maybe some additional info is needed.

It is much easier if you remove the pipe amps from the intake and air boot

Well obviously, you need to loosen the pipe clamps first. Then turn the carb towards you (left hand side of bike). Remove the cap from the carb (if its an AS2 it will be 2 x allen heads), then remove the slide from the carb. Remove slide from the cable. Rotate the carb back around the other way and remove the drain plug from the bottom. This will just sneak past the front sprocket guard. From beneath you can access the main and pilot through the drain hole.

If you have an AS1 with the round threaded cap, you'll have to remove the bowl to access the jets.

I do the same as above, except I also remove the front chain guard. For the little bit of time it takes it sure gives you alot more room to deal with the jet changing. Especially if you have to remove the whole bowl.
