2011 Model Gassers

I love the looks of that bike.

There will be an e-start and base model version of the 250/300s offered. Production of the e-start 250/300 is scheduled for Sept.

I dont think that the FIM allows the use of the old style chain guides any more.

FIM 2010 tech rules now states..... "A chainguard must be fitted in such a way to prevent trapping between the lower chain run and the final driven sprocket at the rear wheel."

I have a question for Clay or possibly the GoFasters boys on the electrical systems on the 2011 E-Start bikes. Well maybe even someone else may be able to answer it for me.
If they E-Start bike have what looks like a real starter and a real Battery in them , are they a DC powered bike ? Looking for this info for the reason of running HID lights .
I don't know if its been asked and answered already , but i didn't see it if it was , so i will apologize in advance if it has been, and also thank in advance to any and all help .

I am also interested in how the stator is set up. Some discussion on it in this thread: http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7900

I expect that only a single winding will feed a small rectifier for battery charging. The lights will most likely run on AC. I think a stator mod will be needed for what you want to achieve. (There may also be the possibility of running a bridge rectifier off the the stock headlight wiring).

Probably only the factory knows the details at this point.
