2013 300XC Sub Frame

They are not a straight bolt-on. You may end up a) drinking b) cursing c) throwing tools and/or d) scratching your head along the way.

You will also need additional fasteners and a drill to fit.

Enjoy.

I would love to curse, throw tools and scratch my head(I don't drink though)but I do have drill to fit.....But no joy yet.

Help me understand what the drill is to be used for?? I know there are some missing fasteners ,but I didn't need or require a drill and bits. The most frustrating thing was getting the cannon r/c silencer to fit.A dead blow
mallet remedied the situation.

The stock silencer was a little bit of a bear to mount as well. I had to drill the front corners of the side panels to match the attachment on the backside of the down spar of the subframe. (Earlier versions of the sidepanels just slotted into the subframe)

For a moment I thought you were drilling alum. The first kit I installed the plastic side panels were pre drilled. The second kit,the side panels weren't
drilled no biggie.

Am I missing something here?? I had my old one off and the all new components installed and back together in an hour......

Steve - These subframes are for GG bikes not Beta's.....;););)

Oh, that must have been it ;)

Initially the installed seat didn't fit, so some ribs were removed there.
After the seat fit it was time to create a loop to hold it at the rear of the tank. Then I had to chase down fasteners etc, etc.

Great directions though :D

Steven -- how was the mud fest yesterday? See you took first nice job.
What are we talking about here the new Alu sub frames?

MX33 was fantastic - sloppy for the first couple laps, minty-mint for three or four more, and then an hour and a half of rain

Nevertheless I scored my first 3 hr overall points on the year, so there's that.

PM me or call and we can discuss at length. I fitted the 2013 alloy subframe to the 2012 I have for sale, and sold three others as well.

I put my 13 subframe on last night , but can't seem to get the 12 tank to go back in , my petcock seems to be catching on the cylinder , it was getting late so I only had a quick go , I know moddett says he used the 12 tank so it must be possible , has anybody else come across the same issue and solved it .
I also ordered the electric start subframe fit and the battery box does not come with it :-( .

Any help would be much appreciated

Chris

I too had issues fitting the tank, but it will fit. a little force may be required. and a tether for the seat base since the battery is attached to the seat base.

Your not wrong there

Yes the 12 tank is in with a lot of squeezing , the petcock catches on the cylinder on the way down , you can pull it away enough to give the top of the tank a bang , she then goes in .
Next problem is getting the bolt in at the front of the tank , I thought it was bad before , now it's half an inch out , it's in now though .
Now to hack the battery box up

I did a bodge job on the box and it's not turned out so bad , considering I'm away from home and only have a handfull of tools
