2013 rear shock setup

I know that I am going to have to go way up on the rear spring. I think there have been several guys that have sent theirs out to be revalved, how badly would the rebound circut be overloaded going to a 5.8 or 6.0 with stock valving? I am sure these are like the '11s where if you dial in too much rebound you block the compression side? unfortunately the motor rebuild on the 11 and some repairs on the KTM have dug pretty deep into the '13 budget, trying to figure out the must do's!
Thanks
Rob

'13 is supposed to have different valving I believe, FWIW. Problem on the '12 was sloppy rebound and as you said crosstalk in the shock. I run the stock 5.2, a 5.8 would be a catapult! Ride the bike first, they ride stiffer than you would think by the spring rate number. Maybe the linkage change. If you normally run a 5.8, chances are a 5.6 will feel good. A 5.2 on the '12 feels stiffer than the 5.4 on my '07.

Thanks Glenn, if I remember, I think that I have at least 40lbs on you :) 220lb dry, 250-60 loaded up, so I know the stock 5.2 is not going to cut it. maybe I will try the 5.6 to start, I like a softer back and I am not jumping anything at my age :)
