I had a 2015 e-start kit fitted to my 2014 replica.I have had 3hrs with it on & found this when changing the filter. On inspection,it seems the battery has leaked & burnt holes in the foam.Fortunately they didn't burn right through. This could have been a dusted engine.Has anyone else encountered this ?
Any solutions apart from buy another battery every 3 hrs?

I would think any sealed lead acid should work. I'm using a Shorai Lithium battery and it has been amazing. I never have to put it on a tender and it will start the bike a ton of times without slowing. Plus it's quite a bit lighter.

Thanks Jakobi, not an isolated incident then.
Shang-So the re-charge system will charge a lithium ion?Awesome, will try & find one here.Yes,the lead acid is bloody heavy!
