They only fawn all over them now due to the paper sack left over by the hospitality tent. Unless you are in the sport and have ridden all brands you only then can make an educated decision. There is no publication that really helps us out with that. When I say us, I mean dirt bike riders in general not just GG.
IF GG ever gets popular and leaves the sack at the red and white hospitality tent they will print how we have been soo good for soo long but unappreciated blah blah blah.
I truly have not had one person, and a lot have ridden my bike, ever get off and say oh...that's nice and that's it. I have had people get off and say they loved the handling but would be concerned about getting parts, if I was gonna ride a 2stroke this would probably be it, I don't think I could give up the grunt of my 450, I have always been a <Brand X> fan or I would consider it, I wish I could afford one. All understandable even if misguided.
Then to read these articles makes me know they are bogus, however almost everyone who has ridden my bikes has said the same thing that Dirt Rider article said that it felt normal, and usually there is some kind of getting to know period with a bike. I think that may be the ultimate testament to the bike. A well designed piece of equipment rarely brings attention to itself, it just does what it is supposed to do. I think unwittingly they paid the highest of compliments. Most won't put that much thought into it.
