After a long Texas State Championship Enduro season, Boomhauer pulled off a 1st place in the Open C class.

Boomhauer now gets to ride the long course B class.

Good job Robby!

Round these parts we'd call him "sandbagger."

"Dirty, rotten sandbagger" to be exact.

Thanks guys! And a big thanks to Girard for helping me fine tune my riding skills. I will have to step it up some more in order to go the distance.:(

How do you long course guys keep from getting monkey butt? I have the EVS Tampon padded shorts and dump a heck of a lot of that monkey butt powder down there also but I still get rashed up. I heard from a friend to rub some vasoline between the crack but that seems weird to me.

Weird, but the ticket! We've been doing that for years now. There is actually a specific product for this out there. At one ECEA enduro they had sample packets at signup. Grease up!:D

Up here everyone usually rides the same course, unless its very tough or a national.

Two solutions:

1. (preferred) Stand up! Can't get monkey butt if you aren't sitting down.

2. Grease up. This is a must for long rides (ie. The ISDE). For long races like WEC and the ISDE, if you don't grease up you're going to pay for it in one very sore rear end!

"Butt Butter" or something like that.:D I never saw it for sale anywhere but I never really looked online either. Its like a really thick diaper rash cream. Vasoline works OK. If the gas stop is back at the start, and the race is rough, I'll re-grease then too. Good suspension helps too, my buddy on a KTM300 was in pain after a tough rock run last month where I had no MB issues, even with the '07s seat.

The standing up thing is good in theory, but in practice it doesn't always work that way. Whoops yes, its a no brainer. When it gets really technical, and its "get through any way you can", textbook style goes out the window, especially for us Senior B riders. If your not tall you have to sit to get a foot down when needed in some of the rock gardens and other fun places.

Exactly my thoughts. I can stand up or sit down. But if the going get's tough I plant my ass on the seat and start railing.

I guess I will be "Lubing" the rear end up next season.

Be sure to use your left hand to "greeze up" with....or else I ain't gonna shake your hand when I meet ya!:D

oh, and congrats on the bump up!

How about this for a new product: Butt grease in a giant tube like a chapstick, about the size of a grease gun cartridge. No messy hands! We can call it the "Crack Stick" :D :D

Nice job Boomhauer! And how about a group purchase on the Crack Stick? Don't forget the stuff, you'd hate to have to borrow someone's.

Congratulations, great job, feels good don't it.
long course seems as if it's harder. It really isn't if you prepare to be on the bike longer. So when you go for a ride go all day not for just a few hours. Ride as much as possible. Thats what I do and it seems to work for me. No monkey butt problems either, it's happend but not much I do stand up 95% of the time I'm on the bike.

Congrats Boom! I've noticed alot more pain this summer because of less time on the GG and a whole lot of time on my new VStar1300 cruiser. I wear the Evs also, and they just didn't do their job as usual. I'll be putting away the cruiser soon and will be riding dirt and rock most of the winter, so will get my butt back in shape. Forgot how much it hurts!
I gotta say tho, I don't like the thought of grease oozing around back there. Kinda kinky man... Why not go all out and get some KY? Probly less costly than that Butt Butter. Let us know what route and hand U take/use.:D
