Do Ohlins come with Warranty??

The store I purchased the shock through located in the states. Steve (twowheels) has called them and confirmed that the email has been received. I'm just waiting to hear further. The shop is a Certified Ohlins Suspension Center.

Some people are so quick to 'help' when contemplating a sale. Not so much when its regarding an issue.

I hate to say it, but after a week of waiting and several emails sent, I have not received any acknowledgement let alone an attempt to resolve the issue. I was unimpressed that the shock broke, but whats really frustrating is being ignored.

Jake,
I've had good luck with Ohlins USA direct in the past. I imagine the shock originated from there(after Sweden)? I had a personal contact there I could call direct but that was 10 yrs ago. PM me your info, when purchased, etc. and I'll try and call for you. Its in my time zone no big deal.

I was not impressed with Skeeters when I enquired about a ttx shock from them. I am not surprised they have not replied. Maybe they will end up eating the remaining stock.

Thanks for the offer Glenn. I had sent an email to Ohlins USA via the enquiry form on their website on Friday my time. Obviously didn't expect any action over the weekend but after a few business days still no reply. Maybe I'm being a bit impatient.

Steve has made a call to the shop for me initially and spoke with someone who said they had seen that email. I'm not going to bother pursuing that path anymore. They clearly aren't interested. Falls in line with what Jeffs just said. Looks like they couldn't even be bothered to make a sale with him. Steve has also offered to help out if I need any further assistance.

I've also been talking with Dave at STM regarding a KYB shock rebuild that I will be doing when time permits. Dave supplied me with all the parts for this and went out of his way to mail them off to me as he was heading out the door on vacation. I just asked him if he had any contacts with Ohlins USA while talking and he has offered to call them tomorrow as he has been a long time dealer.

So in short, I just want to shout out a big thanks to everyone here on the forum. So many people willing to help out a fellow rider on the other side of the planet. Its truly appreciated and shows their high level of both work ethic, and personalities. Keep up the good work team!

Hopefully the next post I make here will be for the better too!

It might be easy but its well and truly appreciated. If I ever find myself touring the states I'm going to have a lot of beers to buy for a lot of blokes (whats this 'guy' talk?) :D

Just an update. Almost immediately after Dave got the ball rolling I have made contact with the right person. Ohlins have agreed to provide parts and labour, however I will be responsible for postage too and from. I have no issues with at all. Big thanks everyone! Hopefully I'll have the postage arrangements organised during the week.

Nice to know that you are getting it resolved, shame the original shop couldn't step up and help..

But well done to the forum for helping, one of the reasons why il always have a gasgas ;)

The shop did get around to emailing advising they had spoke with Ohlins and requesting pictures, however by this point in time things had well and truly progressed.

Just an update.

Gary at Ohlins USA has been great to work with through the process and although it has taken a while to get to this point I'm pleased to say that the shock is back together and about to make its way home. I have missed it dearly. Marty performed the work and has passed on a christmast gift (free revalve) to hopefully address the harshness I was experiencing on square edges.

Overall a positive outcome.

Thanks to Ohlins USA, everyone here to offered assistance, and especially to Dave at STM for getting the ball rolling.
