Gas Gas Meet n greet ride 4!

recovery !!

Rosco and Yana (sp?) :)

Awesome day, trails, sunshine......and you know you've had a good ride when you get back to the truck and you're dizzy, nauseous and cramping up !!:D ha..

I'm old and slow but it was still a super day.

Thanks to Les, jeff, tim, Rosco and others for all the great food - hit the spot.

And tomorrow I'm sure that I'll feel the endo over the bars from the tree, the slide out into the 20 ft puddle (more like a lake:eek:) and of course the tree that I tried my best to put a block into with my left shoulder -(of course causing me to totally miss the left turn and ended up in a hugh huckel berry bush 10 feet off the trail and down the hill:p).......

with all that said.......when's the next ride !!!!!!!!!

Spectacular day riding! Thanks to Roscoe for setting this up! It was good to meet everyone. Special thanks to all who patient with me as I get my dirt wheels back. We didn't have this kind of riding in California. :D

Looking forward to the next one....

I must say this was a very fun Saturday, and with a very fun Saturday comes this aching muscle Sunday I'm feeling as I write this.

I crossed my fingers for the Olympic rain shadow as others must have, and our wish was granted, stellar day in the Tahuya. I am however disappointed, I was only able to show off a fraction of what this area offers for the single track addicted. :( There is just not enough time and energy in a day no matter how good the weather is.

Everyone involved in this ride was quite experienced at roots, rocks and tight Northwest trail and both loops flowed very well. Other than a couple minor delays, which is expected when you have a dozen riders on the loops, the pace was very good, you all should be proud. Paul, Dusty and Darren get extra kudos as they were up to taking on all of what I dished out and put in a good 70 mile day of tight slimy, rooty, twistys.

For those that made the trek to be a part of this years get together I thank you! It is a day of great memories and always makes for interesting conversation as the years pass and this annual event continues to grow. I enjoyed talking and meeting with each and everyone of you, many I felt as if we already had met, and a few I had thanks to this forum.

Also, huge thanks go out to those that contributed in this years event. From cooking, and sweep riding, to bringing food and beverage, to tear down, it's much appreciated.

I look forward to the 5th anniversary Meet n Greet in 2012.

Here is a link to the photos my wife and I took of the event. There are around 100 total. You can click on the photos twice to enlarge each time. enjoy!

Awesome day!

A big thanks to everyone that led us aroung, made sure we didin't get lost, and fed us.

It was an eye opener to see how fast Roscoe threads that bike through the woods. I know mybrother was trying to show him a wheel on the way back to the truck, he always does, and I am pretty sure he never cought Roscoe.

I also must thank Tony for letting me flog his 4t. I loved the bike and the silly tire on the back of it.

I have some video from my helmet cam I'll post this week.

Thanks again Roscoe, we will return the favor sometime soon.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Wish I could've made it up especially after you all had to rub it in with the pics...:D Hopefully there will be another ride before the seasons out.

That is some sweet trail that we missed! Thanks for posting the video Paul and for the trip down 2 stroke memory lane with the bike swap!

You make my video look like I was going in slow motion!!! Who am I kidding, compared to you guys... I was. Maybe I can rerender it in double time to make it look more exciting. :D

For your viewing pleasure...

Cool Tony! You looked like you were doing very good for a guy just getting back into it. This is some of my favorite section of trail on that loop and if I can swing it I will be designing a nice new long section so I don't need to use the 2 track toward the end of that loop.

Thx for putting that clip together AJM. For your 4th or 5th ride I'd say things are coming along nicely! Time to put some time in on your mountain bike to get fit for when the snow comes off the high ground.

4th or 5th ride? He was movin right along, particularly since I hijacked his bike for an hour. The rides do tend to get a little longer in the Mts.
