I hope you're right. I really do.
I just wish that whoever buys it does it to keep current production going and spare parts available. All this is Spain .
If any of the other manufacturers buys it, then it's bye bye GG ...

GG is already bye bye.

Even if the new buyer decides to keep the factory and brand going, there will be so many changes we can't actually hope for the bikes to be as what they used to be. And this is because managers/engineers/designers won't be the same and won't have the same "guidelines" from the new owner as till now.

The only thing I am hoping for right now is parts availability in the future.

While this is a scenario I don't think it is a given that whoever buys Gas Gas won't continue the current line at least for the short term. This is assuming it even continues as a motorcycle company. The product and design is good even if the execution (stuff like inconsistant QC from suppliers) is not always the best. Now if a company like KTM who already has a network of suppliers, buys GG I could see some big changes. We are all guessing. It will be different but that may not be a bad thing. Would have been really nice to see what they could have done had the debt been restructured. I really felt they were on the right path.

Suzuki is going to buy it, add Showa or KYB suspension, rename them "RMX" 200, 250 ,300s keep the trials bikes and go on to rule the world. :D Yes...I just made that up, but it sounded good didn't it ? It's good to dream isn't it. :)

Gazuki? I'll take one.

PS...... they wouldn't be labeled as Suzuki so they maybe could be slipped into the US under the radar without all those nasty regulations that apply to large manufacturers......I'll take my RMX300 please :D and license it thank you

It seems very unlikely the Japanese would "buy" engineering from another country. They are a proud people and I would doubt them ever selling a non-Japanese engineered product.

Plus none of them care about the offroad market, not even sure they care about the MX market.

I can't tell who is behind this facebook page, but here is what they say:

Good afternoon, excuse the silence of the past month, it has been necessary to take perspective. Although we have been silent, we have continued to work in the shade.
And the question is how is the status of the mark? After the meeting held yesterday between committee and administrator.
The viability for the survival of the brand is optimistic, since many investors concerned. Many of them believe in the business and industrial plans are putting on the table that will grow the brand and consolidate it as number one in the sector of Trial and off-road.
Offers potential investments exceeding double figures in millions of euros and a growth in the coming years.
But that does not mean that everything will work out, as any process of liquidation, it is necessary that certain requirements for this project to be firm and become a solid industrial fabric national soil are met. We need the particular sensitivity of politicians, administration and judiciary.
The latter is the commercial judge in Girona, who will have to decide on the future of the brand. It is the judge, who will determine whether accelerate Band productive unit or make a standard settlement plan.
Why is it necessary to accelerate production unit band? Almost ten months we stop floor, a minimum service parts and racing competing altruistically.
But our commercial network is suffering, all our importers contract with Gas Gas and if we are not able to start in 2016 many of them will be forced to leave us, sentenced to death brand.
It is at the next fair in Milan, where the showcase of our industry, suppliers, customers, importers, fans etc ... resides
Everyone is waiting for Gas Gas reach a successful conclusion.
It is also true that many of the offers have expiration dates. If the judge does not accelerate the band production unit probably we fall into oblivion.
Today we are all aware of the deterioration that has taken the brand last year, either by a war of interests between partners and banks, or by the judicial process has delayed the process.
But it is true that workers of GAS GAS have not resigned admit defeat, but make us stronger and united by a purpose. We therefore believe that the judge has to accelerate the process that is crucial at this time to our future decisions be taken and should be now.
The team of workers that make up the brand is very committed to it. Because their future depends on it.
So GAS GAS will be in the Trial of nations showing the world our TRIAL 2016.
Thank pilots, suppliers, importers, fans and everyone, our brand not be forgotten. We know it has been tough for everyone but you just have to put a little more, we are close.
Thank you all for your commitment to the brand

To Poelinca and all the others who have put in such an effort to keep us informed about the companies situation . Thank you

Thanks Dirt Dud, but i'm not the one you should be thankful. I'm just sharing all the info i can get my hands on. And this is because we are all interested in the subject.

The ones to thank are JM Pijoan, David Martinez Figuls, Albert Casanovas and all the enthusiastic GasGas employees that are still working hard and have all these initiatives while the factory is closed. While you are at it, add Rod Overstreet and a few others that have put a lot of effort to let us know what is going on behind the closed doors.

All i really want and hope from the bottom of my heart, is for GasGas to get out of the mess and keep producing the wonderful motorcycles we all have been spoiled with.

No matter the outcome, I am only a proud owner of a GasGas motorcycle and will be one for years to come !!!

So a few weeks have slipped by and I am wondering if there are any new informants springing up with some great news ?

Well, we still have a couple of week to go before the 18th of October which was mentioned earlier as the date when the new owner will be named.
