GGOR Ride in CO

In August of 2009, Rod Overstreet and I attended the Husaberg.org (UHE)Force Ride 3 in Gunnison, CO. At the time I was working for Husaberg and we took some demos out for the attendees to ride.
Dale covington and some of the UHE folks have been planning FR4 in August or September of this year, also in Gunnison. I asked if we could tag along and they agreed.
So, if everything goes as planned, Chuck, Rod and I will come out with a couple of demo bikes and our bikes (we're gonna ride this time!) and we will have a combined FR4/GGOR organized ride in the Gunnison, CO area.
Stay tuned more details!

We are also planning on going in August or September. We have not nailed down dates yet.

I think Agate Creek up to the continental divide was my favorite trail!

I hope to spend about a month a bit north of Gunnison in July...not sure the 125 will be the best bike to ride up there tho....If I can work out the details I'm gonna need a trail guide. Apparently the gentleman that runs the Husaberg shop in Gunnison has ridden at Perry Mtn and competed against my dad in national hare scrambles and 6 days qualifiers!

i was at fr3 [actually i have been at them all, lucky me] and clay and crew really made the event special for a number of reasons. one thing was all the brand new husaberg demo bike. i got to ride the whole line up and do a side-by-side comparison. the 390 was my favorite.

anyhow, i will be there [dont let that stop you] and will be looking forward to demo-ing the new gasgas line.

just dont do 'southern tequila shots' with clay.

daleo, and others, did a ton of work in preparation for the ride.
there were sponsors, events, food, and raffle prizes.just the riding alone is worth the trip but when you add it all up, its truely epic. this year we are planning on being more in one location, or two close ones, like fr1 and fr2.
that makes it even better. if you can swing it, you wont regret it.
check the uhe site http://husaberg.org/forum/ and see force ride 4 and past force ride. the last one, fr3, didnt get much write up though but its not because it wasnt great.

Only with the front tire.....

Sounds like an adventure! Maybe some of us Oregon/Washington guys can convoy out and camp.

I am very interested in this event and look forward to hearing more about it. Hopefully this falls during a lull in our local race series.

Looks like about a 19.5 hour Trek from my place.

wow how the true gets twisted.
a guy goes suicidal [fritz] and throws himself in front of a moving bus [clays bike] and the busdriver [clay] is to blame. :p

GGD,
Than you for telling the true story! I will buy you a beer(s) in Gunnison.
Rod has to buy his own!
