I am looking for a LTR power vavlve cover for my 2011 GG300 and Les at LTR does not make them anymore. Does anyone know where I may be able to find one of these? I also am interested in some aftermarket "bling" for GG's does anyone here in the US make this type of product? Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated.

I have it on my 250. Before I sell/part-out that bike, I might do some back-to-back comparisons with and without. Perhaps the same on the 2012 300E when I get it. I'm still considering removing the e-start, anyway.

Less on a 300 than a 250. It adds a little extreme lowed grunt to a 250. I have always run one even the original Tafta cover back before LTR, I see no negative, as once the PV opens its out of the equation. Its really good if the bike is set up with a midrange to top pipe.

I had a 2011 250 and now have the 2012 300. This 300 is pretty sweet! It does not have that heavy 300 feeling and is very similar feeling to my 250. No vibration issues either! Put a 50T on and ended up using an NEDJ needle, 42 pilot, and 172 main. Perfect combo for the tight stuff and will still rip on top. Bike does not get away from you with this combo.

I'm loving it.

Off topic: Which clip pos? Temp, elevation, RH?

On topic: I just had a good of the TEC and couldn't find anything. Well interested to know more about it. Where are you people seeing them? On stock 2012's? Just random pics?

I saw the T.E.C. power valve adjuster on TT? I don't know what bije it was on.
Provini is the manufacturer i think. The guy works for TM now. They make them for ; TM, KTM, GG, HUSKY,SUZUKI.
I saw an exchange rate, $425.00

"The pride of OFFICINE PROVINI is undoubtedly the patented TEC (Two stroke Exaust sistem Controller) is a hydraulic system which is connected to the centrifugal original by means of the CNC machining, but the final installation does not require skilled hands The ability to control the delivery of your two-stroke engine with a simple motion about the manual was aprezzata 'Sunday driver' sample to show the world how the interventions on various forums and off-road titles won also globally.

It appears it is just a hydraulic valve (much like a steering damper) that connects to the powervalve plate altering the speed at which it can open.

I'm sure Kelly at Motosportz could machine up a little valving system if he wanted to make something like this. Wouldn't even be hard to adapt as he already has the machines and valving knowledge required. A small arm that follows the same arch as the actuator plate and its all business time.

I think I prefer trustys approach of using spring tension on the shaft. Simplier design, also rebuildable. Easier access to the LHS, and most of all it gives you adjustability in both directions. You can either preload to assist the PV opening or add resistance.

I just can't see the need on a 3 hungey, unless you want to do trials. The clutch modulates so well and the bike makes so much torque at low engine speeds, it is just a tractor. We followed the racers around the aorc on Sunday after hundreds of bikes had gone along the same trails after six months of well above average rain, at one point it was uphill peg deep loam/mud and the beast just tractored up in 2nd clutch being abused like crazy, all in the sun ignition map.

The final sweep rides a tm 300 with that gadget and he didn't stop to adjust it, just tractored up as well.

Got to hand it to the e1 guys, the all got up everything and it was super challenging for 250 4ts. What a race, sorry for the divergence.....

Thats why I haven't bothered to change the stock PV cover for another Simmo. I'm more than happy with the delivery of the stock engine. I never really change the ignition, but I do change the jetting more than I should. Mostly just chasing perfection there and trialling differences between needles and clip positions. Adding an adjustable PV would just be another thing to play with.

I reckon you need about six bikes, all ancient/ 80s two stroke mxers, a lathe and a good micrometer set, a burr or 20 and engine blue printing/ flow software just to give that brain of yours the food it needs in the 'get that engine running crisp' department....and I'll buy one off you when it's done.

If you get another parameter to play with it god help your neighbors with you back yard jetting tests.

When you start trading shares, let me know as well.

Haven't been doing much at the moment hey :) Too wet and the back yard needs mowing, not riding. Hah!

I wonder if having an easily adjustable PV would actually be a disadvantage. I get used to it behaving in a certain way and I think with it changing (or me changing it) I'd have to keep changing my riding style to suit too.

I like your idea about the old 2 bangers. Might start with a little RM80 or something. Once I'm done you can set the boingers up!

Just being a hydraulic damper, it would be rate sensitive only, not RPM sensitive, as long as there is no internal spring to offset the PV system like the Trusty.
