main bearings

There's 2 different ones in the ec engine 250/300 they are

ME20912006
ME250112013

They are not cheap. If someone knows the C number you could probably get them a lot cheaper than OEM parts.

oh just one more the shop gave me a ball type bearing instead of a roller type bearing for the clutch side, is this a problem this is why im after the part numbers so i can cross reference them before complaining.
the problem i can see with this it will be a bar steward to press the casings back together and take apart in the future

Nope, that's right. Right side (primary drive side) is a ball bearing, C6206, and the left side (ignition side) is a 63/28 roller bearing. With a hot bearing/fozen crank, the bearing pretty much dropped right onto the crank, and slips into the cases much easier than you would expect.

these are very easy cases to split/re-bearing. try doing a few bultaco bottom ends (or early huskys!) i get to split a puch enduro motor next week - captive seals, loose roller bearings (no cage) on big end and trans, and all kindsa interesting stuff in there...

In the 15 years of riding its the first time I've had to replace mains lol
I've found a number for the cylinder roller bearing nj206 et/c3 does this ring any bells

Actually '02 went to the two piece NJ roller bearing on the ignition side. '08 went to the sealed ball bearings both sides.

got all the bearings there fitted just waiting on a gasket kit now. i found a 2003 parts list and ordered the bearings from that, cylindrical roller ignithion side and caged ball clutch side
nj206 et c3 left side and 63/28 c3 right side. hope this helps others

I have a 2002 EC250 with a ball race one side and the roller bearing on the other.

According to the parts list the roller bearing is NJ206ETC3 and that looks like C3 clearance. The NJ206 has the same dimensions as the alternative ball bearing race, c6206 - 30x62x16mm. Price is a bit different though.

The ball race is 63/28 and I've seen one site quote that as C3 too although the 63/28 bearing I've taken out isn't marked as C3.
