No 12V power - 2013 EC250R

Yep.. OEM pumpkin stator.. Still need to splice the harness and then get it on the backing plate.

Sorry I missed this earlier. The splice part is pretty easy and mine has held up well through some nasty rides and falls... Too bad my keyswitch failed last ride in the sand. Had all electrical but the E-start button... Good luck with the sale, If I had the cash I?d be asking you how much, love my 13!

I finally pulled my finger out and spliced it up this morning. Pretty straight forward. Bit of measuring, bit of trimming here and there..

Ended up pretty tidy in the end. I went for butt crimps + heat shrink on the joins. Used some plastic sleeving over the stator end and through the grommet, and then a nice big length of 10mm heat shrink up the other end which I slide back over the existing plastic tubing while joining, and when completed went back over the old to the new and fitting all the joins within. Pulled up beautifully and just needed a few wraps of tape at each end to ensure it's sealed up.

Haven't got around to kicking it in the guts or taking any measurements yet.. I probably should though!

Well good and not so good..

12V is back. Regulator still seems to be misperforming on this bike.. Running around 12-13V on idle but not really trimming well at all. Headlight is working... Horn works.. But indicators, brake light, tail light all dead.

The loom has been hammered with lots of mud riding.

The indicator flasher unit is a brand new one. I assume it works. The indicators have been in a box. They should work too. I'll double check on a 12V source. The taillight switch was packed with mud, and I assume the taillight itself isn't much better.. plus some insulation has worn through and exposed wires where it passes through the rear fender.

I hate auto electrics!!

With my recent switch block debacle, one of the things I found was a bunch of earths ( which conglomerate on the loom about 10 cm from the headstock -towards the tail of the bike) had become disconnected from the main earth. All my lights were out. There are 4-6 from memory. My tail light was also gone ( and has only been on the bike a few months!
Good luck!

Cheers Jon. I had a quick probe across the indicator circuits front to rear and have continuity.. I'll do the same with the earth circuits.

Aren't you selling it? I thought the approved method was to twist the wires together and then wrap it thoroughly with $1 shop insulation tape.

Don't forget go strip or round off the brake pins and loosen every 4th spoke.
