No service manuals - What a JOKE!!

I can see why GAS GAS is not growing like KTM - they don't even produce a service manual for there Enduro bikes - I had always been afraid of the day when I had trouble with my 06 450 FSE - finally its happened - and now I cant find any way to get the electrical - computer - service reading codes etc... I cant even find what readings for the coils. After research I found all Gas Gas produces is frame & body - and Engine - nothing on electrical - I live in Colorado and no one really knows about the fuel injected enduros - it also seems that no one in the USA knows much yet. Can anyone set me straight and tell me different?

Thanks for the info -- yes I have talked with them and they said I could send in the computer and they would put it in another bike to see if it would work - but they said there is no guides to trouble shoot the bike yet - I would like to do everything 1st before I send things in -

Not true... there are manuals on the GasGas Corporate site and they are FREE! KTM makes you pay for the manuals. Granted, the GasGas ones are not the best but the service manuals (called "taller" in spanish) gets you through basic teardown prodecures. The owners manual and parts diagram are also available.

I will provide a few links for convenience, but you may want to browse through their other model years. Many items cross over between years. NOTE: the taller/workshop manual was only made in limited years. Same for us 2T guys.

EDIT: There is also some fuel injection software and maps listed on the GG corporate website.

Another place to look is the GasGas USA website. Although, there may not be all manuals like the corporate site.

Thanks for the help - I have already downloaded the manuals. Nothing on the electrical system readings - Voltages - Coil -etc..
The bike is not triggering the fuel injection and not turning in the Speedo - it will crank the engine over but is getting the wrong signals. The cooling fan will even come on when you turn the key on and it is cold.

Ground issues will cause problems similar to what you describe when one device tries to ground through another. Start with the basics... remove all the plastic, tank, and seat and then remove and clean all the ground connections. Also check for wiring that appears too tight at loom splits and where the wiring is secured to differant areas of the frame, it can be damaged in those areas but not visibly.
But number one thing is make sure the battery is good. Batteries can turn to junk yet still have enough amperage to crank the engine. But there won't be enough voltage to fire the electronics. Take it somewhere and have it tested if you don't have a load tester to do it yourself. Or put a voltmeter on it while you crank the engine and watch the voltage. Most ECU electronics won't work without 12 volts where the old contact point and first generation electronic ignitions would fire with 9 volts. Low voltage will cause relay problems that can cause symptons like yours also but not as common. Good luck.

Check the EFI relay under right hand number plate..it is a common problem and easy fix. There are also 2 fuses associated with the EFI. One is the supply line for the fuel pump.

I replaced the relays and checked the fuses - I will go through the whole bike and check all the connections again - I didnt take the grounds off and check the connection.
Thanks for the help.

I have used that manual for my mates FSR 450 08. Has help not many changes. Mainly upgrade/update to some internal parts.
