Nice find.

Keep us informed on your process.

If I was gonna buy another street bike it would be Ducati.

Nice, Ducs are so cool! I love riding mine just to hear it. Feeling the vibration in your chest from the exhaust at 4 - 5KRPM is something you have to experience. My neighbor is looking for used Monster as well.

You'll like the Monster.

You say it needs a tank like it's not such a big deal... Have you priced them?

You might just decide to get that tank repaired.

Nate at http://www.frostysfinishes.com/ was very active on the old Ducatimonster.org site before the big shake-up and had many a satisfied customer. He's done a LOT of monster tanks.

You may already be aware of that site and also the spin off site

http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org

Both have classifieds where you'd have a good chance of scoring a seat for cheap.

some new pics, finally got the bike delivered only took 2 months lol.. bike needs a new tank and gauge cluster, gotta send ecu off to have tune and immobilizer deleted, overall happy with purchase..

Very Nice.

I love the naked bike and torque monster motor.

I had a honda hawk gt - 650 twin with one sided swingarm circa 1988. It reminds me of that bike.

Thanks guys, I'm to old to ride a crotch rocket and to young for a cruiser the monster is the perfect choice for my style..:D

yep, the monster's are nice. i've got a 94 900ss and aside from bodywork and carbs(yours is injected right? oh and yours is wet clutch...no jingle jangle/clunk clunk clunk) they're basically the same. the 2v 750 and 900 belt motors are by far the most reliable motor ducati ever built. a workhorse ducati (i know that's a contradiction..). don't know if the monsters have regulator/rectifier problems like the earlier ones did - but if they do, and yours is original rec/reg , be prepared to replace it. mines been flawless aside from that. once riding postion is worked out, they make excellent tourers :)

i do have a question - that's a red key ignition right? how did you work around that (or did you have red key?)

now there's something you don't see everyday. did you import it, or did someone else do the work?

how does it compare to rz350? i know it's significantly lighter...

that Yamaha is badass, I always wanted a RZ350 smoker, thanks for posting the pics slocalspode...

hey stainlesscycle post a pic of yours, no the bike didn't come with the magic red key, had to sent ecm to Decati Depot and have the immobilizer deleted and also remap the curve because of exhaust and ITG filter upgrades.. I still need a cluster and get this beat up tank resolved..
