RB Head Mod - WOW

Had the first chance to really ride my 200 after having Ron do his thing this past weekend.

Holy cow - what a difference! The power was incredibly crisp immediately off idle and she pulled strong all the way up. Throttle response was good before, but it's damn near perfect now. I seriously cannot believe what a difference that made to how the bike feels; should have listened to firffighter a long time ago :o

When we finally get another 200 in the garage, this is going to be one of the first things I do to the bike. Thanks to both firffighter and Jakobi for suggesting it a while back...easily one of the best $75 investments I've made on a bike :D

Seems your opinion falls right in line with mine! Theres a reason why the price of head work was factored into my new bike purchase! Its all just blue printing to make the engine work the way it was designed to.

Absolutely you made a wise move, I also waited to long before getting it done and I had him do the carb as well and it was worth every penny.

I recently had mine done as well. BIek rips off the bottom. It kinda seems like it is a touch fat into the mid and upper range. Could it need to be leaned out a touch on the main in response to the head work?

My bike had the RB head and carb mods. I cannot compare really because I never rode it stock but I am very happy with how it runs right now

KDX 200s rip!

Mine was actually a 220.:o
But yes, the KDX was my favorite bike to roll out of Japan. Unfortunately, they kind of lost touch. I'm glad the Euros filled the void and I'm glad there're good machinists like Ron that can improve upon an already great bike!

RBD did the full blown mod on my 38mm TMXX for my YZ125, the best money I've spent on my 125.....Great work...great guy to talk to on the phone!!!

When I finally had Ron mod the head on my 2006 DE300, I had to add a 10 oz flywheel weight to regain control in the rocky off-camber singletrack sidehill trails. As an added bonus, without changing the jetting my fuel mileage almost doubled.

When I bought the 2011 EC250 last May, I rode the bike for about fifteen miles to check everything out and then took it apart for thorough service, including Ron's magic head work. No sense in waiting for a good thing. As the fellow just said, it was the best $75 I could spend on the bike. (after a skid plate)

Great work...great guy to talk to on the phone!!!

I think we're really fortunate to have him so close in the PNW; drove by his shop to drop off my head and you couldn't be more accurate with your statement Rick.

More and more I've found that people like Ron are the exception and not the rule; which is why he'll continue to get my business. I fully plan to have another GG200 head to him in the next few weeks :D

You're all making me very jealous as I have not got to ride mine since I have the mod done.....
