Reversing Start & Kill switches - 2018

I came off a Beta which had Kill LHS & Start RHS. I have an '18 EC250 Six Days & I was laughing in my helmet the other week when I stopped on a hill & was pressing the Kill trying to restart the bike.

It is weird for me so I decided to swap the switches around. I re-wired the stock Kill to be a Start & canned the bulky (& ridiculously expensive to replace) Leonelli switch block in favour of a waterproof $5 On/Off. There is no room for the stock Leonelli Start block next to the throttle due to my preferred front brake perch position, anyhow.

It took 45 minutes & cost $5. Hint - I filled the Leonelli male side of the big black connector with Liquid Electrical Tape after I'd wired in the Start switch & turned it pins down behind the headlight shroud to lessen water/dust ingress. The horn's gone (I blip the throttle to get attention anyway) & the headlight is hard wired for low beam. I don't ride on the road here (or at night), so all good!

Had a test in the bush yesterday & all worked fine.

We pulled the loom apart slightly on a mates 15 and used a KTM setup I believe.

I'm an outlier, I like the starter on the left in case I need to blip the throttle when starting, it's easier for me if the starter button is on the left.
