Sag matters!!!!

Wow, I thought my sag numbers where correct and set at 100/102, boy was I wrong! I did the old set mark and measure with a stick/yard stick. I don't know what happened. I received my Motool digital sag scale and found my sag at 88. Wah Whaaaat? So now that I have set the sag to 102, I have now experienced the full if not fuller potential of my Gassers handling...........WOW! I now know what you guys are talking about when you say it corners like its on rails. Cause it really does. I have ridden it on 3 different occasions since the sag was corrected, just to make sure it wasn't one of those fluk days where everything aligns perfect and your riding is dead on.

What year is your bike? My 2011 likes around 110-115

Mine is a 2012. It handled well before, but it feels like a completely different bike now.

Get this, my riding buddy never messes with anything on his bikes. He buys them and just gets on and rides. I measured his 2013 KX450f, it was at 56. His bike is stored in my garage so I set his also and he noticed a BIG difference. I didn't say anything to him at first and he kept commenting during our ride how well he felt riding and how good his bike felt. I broke the news to him after we were done.

Is the tool being used on all your buddies bikes ? Or are you holding back so you can rail on them ?

I set my sag and it handled well. After several month it started handling weird. I didn't trust it anymore. I took the shock off thinking it needed some R&R. My tuner told me my spring retaining ring was completely loose. He changed the oil and set the sag. All better.
