OK so just heard from my Friend and it was the main bearing that had seized solid on the clutch side, the seal was intact but inside the cage was blue and there was no sign of grease. We have done some asking around and it seems this is not an isolated case here in the UK with reports of several 10 and 11 model suffering the same fate. It seems i will have to strip mine down now and remove the seals before it locks up on me!!!!
