They are the 2012 TTX Inserts for the 48mm Sachs. I ordered them through Hardracing who were great to deal with on the communication front. It took a lot of backwards and forwards and I actually had to wait for the factory to manufacture them before I could take ownership. I hope the wait has been worth it.

I'm now just waiting on the springs to arrive from Dave at STM Suspension. He has been great to work with so far and has got a 5.4 rear and .46 fronts in the mail. I'm 75gs nude but probably easily 90kg geared up. The rear shock is already an Ohlins 888. In the 150hrs on the bike so far the only changes I have made was to drop some fluid from the Sachs forks. They are still standard 2010 Race valved (stiff!). The shock has been very compliant although a tad undersprung. I'm expecting some big improvements.

A little off topic:

Jakobi,
I called TM Designworks yesterday to see if they had a rear chain guide in stock for my '11 EC 300. The guy I talked to asked me to go out and make sure that my mounting bracket used two bolts at the swingarm.
Seems one of their customers Down Under just received one of their guides for his '10 300 Gasser and it wouldn't fit.
That chap wouldn't be you, would it? If so, I hope you get it sorted.

And thanks for all the project updates!

I wish it was me!! I just checked the mail tracking last night and mines still somewhere other than in my possession :) FWW the 2010's used a different stock guide to the 2011's and I purchased the adapter plate from them to make it fit!

Back on topic! Springs arrived. Oil Ready. Waiting on the fork cap tool and its business time!

why do you need a fork cap tool, you can remove the caps with a 19 spanner, or is this tool for those other parts i do not want to mention for fear of turning green (again)!!

Yeah you got it :)

I can get the Sachs apart easy enough but won't be able to finish the ohlins off until I get a cap tool. I could still get it all but done and just give it a snug up when they arrive!

Just been going over the plastics and nuts and bolts today. Pulled the brake pads and noticed the pin is well grooved so need another one of them. Linkage will get some lube tomorrow and the new spring fitted to the shock. Then I might look at dropping the forks and pulling the Sachs carts out.

ok, also to get the sachs cartridges out you will need another 'special' tool like the ones i made:

if you need the cutting template, pm me your email address and i will send it to you

then you just need a good 19 socket an extension and a hammer

is that special tool for holding the cartrige whilst undoing the base nut?
i get mine out by, simply by loosening the base nut with a rattle gun whilst hold a little bit of pressure on the spring. do this before removing the top cap....

Roger dodger that was my plan. Cordless impact. 19mm socket. The old man holding the fork upside down with some pressure on the spring. Should crack without too much effort.

I have read that you can do it just with the impact without even holding the cart. Thats on a Zoke 45mm though.

Grind the lead in taper off of a good six point socket for max contact (a trick from Les). I use a 1/2" drive pneumatic for disassembly, and my smaller 3/8" drive for reassembly (limited torque). Never a problem.

My vice ended up being the perfect height to turn the fork upside down, compress a bit and then get secure. Rattled out with the cordless impact without any issue at all. Haven't put the TTX inserts into the Sachs legs yet. I did however set up the Motosportz damper. Still not fully secured up and won't be until forks are reassembled, but to be honest the hardest part yet was getting the nuts off the bar clamps (under the tripples).
