Want to install E-Start or Rekluse, EC250

Good point if you think those items will help, I guess why not. But really I guess before buying those items I would try to do other things. Sometimes even lowering the gearing helps! My buddy runs a 52 tooth on his 200, he is a bit heavy 235 for a 200 but seems to work pretty good with that gearing. Yes thank god your not a pumpkin head and on a gasser! Talk to a good dealer and see what they reccomend! Good luck,
My bike is actually set up very well for me. When we're out goofing off, I forget myself...and don't ride like I should. Regardless of my apparent lackluster skillset, my primary objective is having a good time...I do that well. There is the occasional swearing. There again, only me to blame. As far as having the bells...and whistles, those may come at a later time. For now, I'm satisfied screwing up, I mean...doing things the old fashoned way:D

Bowhunter,

Its all up to you, but there is no harm in developing skills on standard equipment. Ride an auto clutch bike, you may like it or hate it, some guys have bought and quickly resold their Rekluse.

The '03 250s were a little soft on grunt. If you have the CDI from the '01 XC250, swap it in the '03, I'll guarantee you will feel a difference. Cruiser and I did the same thing to our '03 250s.

Hey Bill,

Looks like you are putting the old EC250 through its paces! That bike loves that type of terrain.

One little trick with that bike in the terrain you're riding is to turn up your idle slightly. This helps trememdously with the stalling.

BTW, I rode Belfair yesterday and it was perfect conditions. Did 35 miles of exclusively singletrack. Fun stuff.

New Years day was good, as well. A little wet, but fine. I just got home with a brand new trailer/changing room/motel room/bike hauler. I took the weekend of...and the whole following week off, for the D100! I added the week in case of an ER visit:D
