Waterproof Pants

I tried the ARC "Backcountry" pants and my "backcountry" was exposed in three rides through a ripped out seam. Anyone have any suggestions for some rugged durable waterproof pants?

Get the Woody pants from Shift very well made & they work I tried some sheaper ones under 100.00 & they don't compare to Woody's which sell for 149.00 but I think there worth every penny.

I have had decent luck with inexpensive ski pants. Of coarse, it's always cold and wet when I wear them. I just carry some duct tape for when they start to shred them. About $30 a pair about this time of year. I had some Moose Gortex pants and I sheded them in just a few rides.

PEB,

I have the Klim pants which are over the boot pants and they work great at not letting you get wet. Give them a try as I think you will find that they work great.

Robby, Do they make a waterproof version and if so how beefy is the fabric? I have a hard time spending big bucks on stuff that doesn't last.

Paul the fabric is very tough & durable. I have had both of my pairs for 2 years with no issues.

Call Mark at gofasters and see if they make them. I never get wet with mine.

I have the Moose waterproof expedition pants. they were nice when they were new, but they shredded pretty quick.

I have the Moose waterproof pant. They are fine by my account. I do not like them as much as the old style ARC pants, which were thick, heavy, and truly durable, but they work well. Mine are more than a year old. I'm pretty easy on riding gear generally though, so they may actually suck, but they work for me.
