What did you do to your Gas Gas today?

I use a 1 Litre squeeze bottle. Just the right size for an oil change, no mess, no fuss.

Heading to the dealers today to pick up my bike, it's had an issue at higher rpm that I thought may have been jet related, but even after trying multiple jet changes the issue remained.

Allegedly the dealer has fixed the issue, i'll find out early this morning what it was and check back in later.

PS: I'm not particularly a footy fan, but go the Tiger's :D

Saturday, I raced it (my Gasgas).
We (my club) held our annual national race, Kongsberg Grand National. 162 racers from 5 years up. I presume the oldest was 65.
This was the closing round of NESS (Norwegian Enduro Super Series). How did we come up with that name? :)

In the main 2 hour race we were 114, I ended at 93 total (18 out of 22 above 50).
After heavy rain for a couple of days, the track was transformed into mud at many places.

Great fun.

Our daughter Nora did her second race ever in the beginner's class. Her first one was in 2011, well before our granddaughter was born. Now, she's five and a half. The beginner's race is one hour long and is run before the rest of us tear up the track too badly. On her '00 RM125 Nora completed two laps, won the beginner's womans class and was very happy.

After weeks of preparation of the track, doing the race administraion and the racing itself, and using the complete Sunday (and tonight) for repairing / cleaning / tearing down tapes and arrows, we are now quite exhausted, and tomorrow will be an enduro-free day. The first in quite a time :)

In two weeks time we will host the last race of the season, our club race. usually we are approx 50 racers there.

Good job , Anders! You Norweigans are a hearty lot. I mean that in a good way:) Congrats to your daughter as well.

Picked up my bike from the dealers which is now running extremely rich. I explained to the dealer when contacted them originally about poor running that I had dropped the pilot to 42 from 45, main from 175 to 172 and down to 170(not much difference between the 172 and 170 so will stick with 172) and an NECW needle with the clip in the middle.

The dealer said at that time that they set them up 42/172/NECW clip in the center, so that's how I set it up when I delivered it back to them.
Dealer told me they changed to 45/175 no mention of needle, but he did tell me that it didn't have an NECW when I delivered it. I explained that it did as I bought it from Mick Hone and checked it before installing. He kept arguing emphatically that it didn't, quite rudely was over the phone.

So after picking it up it now has a 42/175 and an NECH needle which is 2 needles richer than the NECW, which probably puts me closer to the N1EF that was in it, which was too fat.

I rung him a gain today and he changed his story and said that's how they set them all up.

He said last Saturday that he was going to send my main and needle back as he couldn't find them. When I spoke to him today he said he had them there and that it was an NECW needle , and that his wife found them Saturday morning. I said "it's Thursday"(expecting that maybe he'd sent them), his reply "so what" "I don't have time to talk to you, set it up how you want".

Thanks for your help Laurie(Day) This gentleman is one of the rudest most belligerent pricks that I've had the misfortune of dealing when buy a new scooter.

I would be more than happy to speak to anyone who was looking to purchase a bike from this gentleman about his behavior......PM me.

Looks like I'm going to have to make the journey to Bayside for gear in the future.

I'll be happy to give feed back on them as well, Laurie has been brilliant for me.

Interesting, 10 minutes after my conversation with the dealer I have 2 missed calls from Gasgas Australia  I can't call back as it's a private number.

^^I envy you, that's how he came across when I purchased the bike.

My guess, there's some wires crossed over a bit of miscommunication or something simple. Let it go a bit rather than keep banging heads, he's an honest operator that has never let me down.

I'll drop by tomorrow and pick up my needle and jet and after that I'll have nothing more to do with the gentleman.

Rodent, that's a terrible situation. Did you even ask them to jet your bike?
My bike is currently in Bayside's workshop, fairly happy with their customer service this far.

Not so much done just today but over the last 5 weeks.

After repairing handguards and steering damper since a previous crash, I raced it again. Two races in three weekends, not bad.
As mentioned in another thread, I crashed during "track testing" on Saturday. Although I seemed unhurt at the time, some of my ribs obviously did get an impact. Before starting in Sunday's club race, I was feeling a little nervous and didn't feel too confident after falling off the "wall ride" the previous day.

The annual fall club race is in one of my club mate's back yard, a short, thechnically challenging track with a lap time just over 2 minutes for the fast guys.

The ground was soaked after weeks of rain. After just a few laps, the steepest uphill had been transformed into something more akin to a mudslide, and I really struggeled to get to the top.
I used half an hour on that hill alone, and was close to throwing in the towel. But I did manage, and did 3 laps afterwards.

A grand day out, 44 riders from 5 to 65 years of age. Lost of spectators, neighbours from the village and club members.

Last weekend I fit up a Shinko 216mx Fatty that I bought to try out about a month ago. It was by far the easiest tyre I have ever fit to the tubliss equiped front wheel. It basically fell on!
Took it for a ride at the local in extremely wet and sloppy conditions. I was a little skeptical of all the claims about these tyres and to be honest have never really loved any front tyres.
This tyre is the only one I will be fitting from now on as long as it doesn't do anything silly like throwing knobs/splitting etc. It is absolutely amazing!! It feels like I have an extra 6 inches of suspension travel up front, trail trash and rubble is no longer felt, hands don't get sore hitting sharp square edges. It climbs out of greasy clay ruts with ease but holds a line perfectly even in loose sand.
The only downsides are a slightly heavier steering input and it clips the bash plate on heavy landings, but to be fair I need to up the spring rates front and rear so they may well be fixed this week when they show up.
Got some 0.46's on the way from Jan at Shock treatment and had a 5.8 rear spring left over from the TM. It is a tad heavier than the recommended 5.66 but it should be fine. Going to service the shock and forks while I am in there and may even check out the valving for the other KYB equipped bike riders that want some Gasgas magic in their forks!
Damn I love this bike!!!

I bought back my old 2002 EC125. The last owner took it for a ride.

1. "warmed up for 3 min".
2. bogged in first gear (probably not that warm).
3. ran clean in 2,3,4
4. during the WOT 4-5 shift the motor locked up.

He said the bike sounded normal and the ran clean with no odd noises or vibrations.

It is leaking coolant from the newly ventilated crank cases. The hole is about 7 to 10mm wide and 35mm long (5/16 to 7/16 wide and 1 7/16 ling) directly below the crankshaft.

I will pull it apart this week. It is locked solid. The trans oil looks fine and it rolls in neutral fine. I hope the cases can be saved.
