Thanks Jim. the linkage wasn't too bad but swingarm took a while as I had to push the bearings out and position them as far to the outside of the arms as possible and on the chain side, cut a groove to allow the grease to get between the bearings.
still, saving time and money in the long term I'm sure.

Not Today, but a few days ago.
I live sort of on the edge of a rural area and the suburbs. I rode my (non plated) ec300 down the road for a few miles, mostly on the shoulder so as to not cause too much trouble.
At one point I came upon an area where the ground had been built up to allow the roadway to be flat and level. As a result, there wasn't really a shoulder, and a pretty steep drop off into a swampy area. As I was riding along the shoulder and noticing there was about to not be a shoulder to ride on, I looked over my shoulder to see if any cars were coming so I could hop on the road for a short blast to get past the swampy area.
Wouldn't you know it, doing so caused me to get off balance and veer off the steep slope into the swamp!
No harm done to me or the bike, but it was an interesting struggle trying to get up a gravely 60 degree slope with no run up. I ended up scooting along the bottom, dodging the deep spots and trees until I came to an easier place to ascend.
I continued exploring around, checking out power lines and avoiding No Trespassing signs. As I was on my way home, I saw a policeman sitting there as a speed trap I suppose. Luckily I wasn't gooning too much and just sort of tooted along and gave him a nod. He didn't come after me, so thats good.
Besides the short gearing, the bike did fine on the road and makes me wish I had a plate just for exploring around like that.

I?ve tried over the years to buy one of these to no avail. Had a chat with Jeff Fredette at a Muddobbers national reset, he told me he won?t run a bike without, less pad wear, runs cooler and more feel. Finally snagged the OEM part as I figured the stock slotted one last so long why not stick with that quality.

Trying to revive an old thread.
The past two weeks, I have been doing some winter service:

- Replaced all bearings, o-rings, bushings and seals in the rear suspension linkage and swingarm (including swingarm axle)
- Removed the rear shoick and sent it off to Reiger for service
- Sent a pair of secondhand Ohlins fork cartridge inserts off to RG3 for service. I bought these cartridges a few years ago (an ad on this forum), but didn't get around to install them until now.
- Replaced piston. The old had done approx 150 hours.
- Replaced the red TM Design chaing guard and glider for a new set.
- Replace bushings and seals in the fork legs (Before/ when the inserts get back). Using SKF.
- Install a red TM Design skid plate in place of the OEM.
- Put on the wheels with studded tires
- Install a "racing harness", a simpler wiring harness. Bought cheap on line. It is an original Gasgas item from 2015. May save a few grams and get rid of some unused cabling that only sits there behing the lampshell. Another point is that the OEM cabling is getting quite worn after 460 hours in rough terrain.

The TMD skidplate is on.
The Ohlins inserts are in place in the fork legs, new SKF bushings and seals as well. Did also polish the legs in the lathe.
The racing harness is nice, no surplus wires for blinkers and stuff I never use (apart from tail light and brake light switches front and rear). I ride without a tail lamp, as the only thing it does to me, is to get broken now and then..
I did receive a new decal set, but haven't applied any of it yet. No new plastics either.
Was out on my first proper riding session with the rebuilt bike the other day. It feels thight and the Ohlins inserts are a bit stiffer than my home-built Marzocchi shimstack. I didn't experiment too much with the clickers, was too busy having fun. I started out at 15 clicks out on both comp and rebound, and also tried 20 for the compression. Perhaps the sweet spot is somewhere in between. I think Ohlins is an improvement over my Marzocchi internals which have done 460 hours now (as was to be expected, and the whole reason for the change).
The last race of the year is in a week, that is the first race of the Norwegian Enduro Winter series. Looking forward to it.

Trying another revival of this thread. This forum is quite low-volume now, so we need some postings 
After 500 hours of use, my clutch is getting pretty worn. It has a Rekluse EXP 3.0. Everything is worn. The basket is very sloppy on it's cushions, I can move it perhaps a mm sideways (radially) and also rotational. The basket is also heavily notched, even the Rekluse clutch hub have marks where the steel plates wear.
The EXP ring is of course also worn. I have overhauled it a couple of times already.
I have done 3 races during the last two weeks, all with some clutch slip. During the latest race, it got really bad. When I started the race (cold engine), it would hardly free out, even when pulling the lever. I guess the notching in the basket is to blame. However, when oil got hot, it would slip in all gears.
Something had to be done. I removed it all yeaterday afternoon,
Luckily, I'm a hoarder. When a lightly used Rekluse Radius CX came up on the national small ad service finn.no a year or two ago, I bought it "Just in case". Hence, I now have one Rekluse, complete with all needed steel and friction plates to, put in. Today, I found Motocrosscenter's last stocked EC200 clutch hub for €165. It's now coming my way on an UPS lorry.
With a bit of luck, I'm back on the bike in a weeks time.

I've had my Ranger for 1 month today and put 30 hours on it. Other than basic maintenance and some adders, I've just been riding it. It spends most of the time in the high desert, but I'm not far from the mountains so I've had it up to about 9500 ft. elevation. I've been extremely happy with the bike and look forward to many more hours.

It spends most of the time in the high desert, but I'm not far from the mountains so I've had it up to about 9500 ft. elevation. I've been extremely happy with the bike and look forward to many more hours.
That looks like Colorado! Is that Gypsum Hardscrabble?
No, the first pic is northwestern NM and the second is near Bayfield, CO. This one is near Mancos, CO.
Sunday i sorted thru some Gasgas wild quad parts that a fellow member on here hauled home for me from Arkansas . Thanks . And thanks to Jim for saving the parts for me . Last week repacked silencer, and install exhaust system on the 2010 ec250 project. Still got a few more things to do to it .
